For people defending Abhimanyu saying he did not yell and just needed time so he put on the earphones and walked away. How hard is it to tell your crying wife who is trying to talk to you that you are hurt and in shock right now and that you do not want to lose your cool so you are leaving to find your brother and you will talk to her later? Those words would have taken him less than 1 minute to say. I am not questioning his heart or his intentions and I also understand that his anger is his defense mechanism and his trauma, so please do not give me a lecture on that. But this is not how relationships work sorry to say. You cannot just refuse to hear your partner and walk out like this. Especially when she is begging you to listen to her. And Abhimanyu always does this. It is a matter. He never believes her. I am sorry but there is no excuse for this. Trying to tag a few people.

Hopefully there is some “learning” coming out of this.

For all his maturity he seems to do this “ walking away from you Akshara, going to stick my finger in my ear so I don’t have to listen to you “ thing a lot. He owes an apology from the last time too “ Akshara, Jhoot mat bolo” rant.

If you have noticed, this always happens in the context of his mother.

It's known as giving silent treatment and it hurts people so much.

But how can he blindly believe what his mom says and not even give his own wife a chance to explain?

Thats what am saying. This is known as giving silent treatment. Silent treatment hurts more than spoken words. Silent treatment is like you're pretending the other person doesn't exist for you. That's what abhimanyu is doing. It's very wrong.

I guess if he given some confidence to be able to speak his mind.. he would be a different person entirely

Actually I know a real life incident like this but ended in a disaster. She is my friend and she and her husband got into a misunderstanding like this. They were so loving towards each other and when her Mil blamed her and lied to her son. He ignored his wife's pleading and went to placate his mother. My friend got heartbroken and she got into accident while returning to her home. She was not waking up at hospital and her husband was regretting those days. When she woke up she forgave him but again after a few years her mil tried to manipulate her son my friend left everyone and is staying with her father . She has a daughter but is not in talking terms to her husband. But the sad part is she also doesn't have a mother and always thought her mil like her mother. Because nobody is there to support her and guide, her in-laws are manipulating her husband. I'm not blaming abhi or akshu but reading about precap, this incident struck me.
