I think it’s just because he was with crazy Anisha and was worried about Anisha meeting Akshu. He definitely doesn’t want Akshu and Anisha to meet.

Today akshara literally followed neil to meet abhimanyu and surprise him..she only wanted to spend some time with him...but the reaction he gave her was so disappointing..he made her feel awkward and unwanted

Abhimanyu has forgotten that he used to crave for a single phone call from her..now the girl is literally making efforts to be with him and he's taking her for granted..

Just because akshara is a loving and understanding person doesn't mean that abhimanyu will take her goodness for granted..

I really want akshara to go back to her old ways where she used to be mean to abhimanyu and he used to run after her...

Guys like abhimanyu make big big promises before confession for impressing the girl and then take their girlfriends for granted after they enter into the relationship..

Don’t think like that! Think in this way, Abhi is more concerned that Akshu should not see Anisha, if she sees her, he has to explain everything and Akshu may get hurt. So he was more concerned that Akshu should not know anything and not yet hurt.

Its been made very clear that Anisha is someone unstable and has issues. We just don't know the whole story yet. And there is a reason Abhi ends up going to her because she is family and it seems the type of person who won't give up until she has her way. If he doesnt go to her she will do something else big. He is trying to figure out what is the best way to handle the situation.

Abhi is worried about whatever it is that involves Anisha and Kairav and how that will have some impact on Akshara and the rest of her family. When Akshara suddenly showed up he was wasn't sure what to do. Both Neil and Akshara understood something was up by his behavior. Akshara has already picked up something has been bothering Abhi and she is waiting for him to tell her. And she has seen that he wants to say something to her. So she is giving him space to do that. That is why she understood I need to go. They had their eye to eye contact conversation and they understood each other. That hug from Abhi was a form of reassurance.

Let's see how the rest of this week unfolds as I don't think we have enough information to judge what is going on yet.

Yes, he was being mean by making her feel unwanted but he did hug her and that said a lot
