This is exactly what I always understood.. Aarohi just doesn't want akshu around her.. If akshu would leave her alone she is happy in her own world being no.1🙄
Right now its Abhimanyu whose on her hit list looks like and I definitely want to see her taking the arrogant dr. down a notch or two..
And this is true too--Aarohi is the one who kinda marked abhi first.. So in her mind she was more deserving bcz she recognizes and appreciates what is abhi's specialness that she knows akshu has no idea of. Which is why she didn't find it wrong to go ahead and grab him before akshu given how abhi's parents too were in her favour. So in aarohi's mind it's akshu who is the vamp who has bewitched abhi with her music and drawn him away from what could have been for him a more eligible, practical and family - approved rishta. Aarohi cares for respectability and family and everything related to her being socially acceptible. She is not the one to suddenly fall in love with anyone ineligible.
What I want to see is Aarohi realizing fully from kairav and swarna that her mother was never no. 2 for her dad, that she was deeply loved so that she can finally get over her insecurities and the sisters can understand and accept one another. And then I want her to be able to freely fall in love. This I want more than the Abhira story.😕
This (bold). There were some interesting comments referencing dynamics from S2 Sirat track (which I didn't watch) on my post on this subject...before it went up in flames😆
There are some definite parallels in the relationships between Abhimanyu-Akshara, Akshara-Arohi and Arohi-Abimanyu. The first person in each pair thinks their love (or in Arohi's case her ambition) can erase any obstacles and differences in forging the kind of relationship they want from the second person. Regardless of whether that's what the second person wants or not.
Before the Abhira shippers descend on my head, this discrepancy in goals is obviously the smallest for Abhimanyu and Akshara because Akshara does reciprocate his love, but he is only now trying to understand the family dynamics that are constraining her love, after ignoring them for most of this season.
Arohi-Abhimanyu have very similar personalities but no shared common goals or hope so that pair is dead in the water 😆 But I agree that Arohi never really took Akshara's feelings for Abhimanyu seriously because she couldn't understand why Abhimanyu fell for her (I think you're absolutely correct that Arohi views Akshara as the seducing vamp!).
I disagree that Arohi cares for respectability and family and social standing. I think she only cares about and prioritizes herself above all else. She is truly amoral (rather than immoral). In the current scenario, conveniently what she wants falls in line with conventional social wisdom. This is why she makes it a point to highlight the relatively worse social embarrassment and harm to the family's respectability caused by Akshara's actions on the wedding day compared to hers. Morally she has no ground to stand on, but socially she does.
But she's openly stated she doesn't care about family or anything else when it comes to getting what she wants (in the kitchen during the second tilak, before the unfortunate MUH MITHAA KARO incident😆)
Arohi-Akshara do have a unique situation because I think Arohi does care for Akshara and somewhere still wants (wanted) a sisterly bond with her. Usually this sentiment comes out only when Akshara is on the brink of death... But by constantly smothering her with her Aroo Aroo and by trying to get Arohi to feel and act the way she does, Akshara practically guaranteed that Arohi's resentment and irritation would increase. And of course Arohi being Arohi decided to channel Akshara's devotion into serving her own ambitions.
Given her character's intrinsic traits, my thought is that Arohi cannot become the sort of person who can ever truly empathize with her sister or fall unreservedly in love with someone (well it's ITV, so ANYTHING can and will happen😆). But if they keep true to her character and try to redeem her, we could see develop into a better version of Mahima - ambitious and ruthless but with a little more sincere humanity and love for family than Mahima currently displays. I suspect we will see the exact opposite arc for Arohi now - she is about to become a desi Maleficent!
