Right now its Abhimanyu whose on her hit list looks like and I definitely want to see her taking the arrogant dr. down a notch or two..

And this is true too--Aarohi is the one who kinda marked abhi first.. So in her mind she was more deserving bcz she recognizes and appreciates what is abhi's specialness that she knows akshu has no idea of. Which is why she didn't find it wrong to go ahead and grab him before akshu given how abhi's parents too were in her favour. So in aarohi's mind it's akshu who is the vamp who has bewitched abhi with her music and drawn him away from what could have been for him a more eligible, practical and family - approved rishta. Aarohi cares for respectability and family and everything related to her being socially acceptible. She is not the one to suddenly fall in love with anyone ineligible.

What I want to see is Aarohi realizing fully from kairav and swarna that her mother was never no. 2 for her dad, that she was deeply loved so that she can finally get over her insecurities and the sisters can understand and accept one another. And then I want her to be able to freely fall in love. This I want more than the Abhira story.😕

This (bold). There were some interesting comments referencing dynamics from S2 Sirat track (which I didn't watch) on my post on this subject...before it went up in flames😆

There are some definite parallels in the relationships between Abhimanyu-Akshara, Akshara-Arohi and Arohi-Abimanyu. The first person in each pair thinks their love (or in Arohi's case her ambition) can erase any obstacles and differences in forging the kind of relationship they want from the second person. Regardless of whether that's what the second person wants or not.

Before the Abhira shippers descend on my head, this discrepancy in goals is obviously the smallest for Abhimanyu and Akshara because Akshara does reciprocate his love, but he is only now trying to understand the family dynamics that are constraining her love, after ignoring them for most of this season.

Arohi-Abhimanyu have very similar personalities but no shared common goals or hope so that pair is dead in the water 😆 But I agree that Arohi never really took Akshara's feelings for Abhimanyu seriously because she couldn't understand why Abhimanyu fell for her (I think you're absolutely correct that Arohi views Akshara as the seducing vamp!).

I disagree that Arohi cares for respectability and family and social standing. I think she only cares about and prioritizes herself above all else. She is truly amoral (rather than immoral). In the current scenario, conveniently what she wants falls in line with conventional social wisdom. This is why she makes it a point to highlight the relatively worse social embarrassment and harm to the family's respectability caused by Akshara's actions on the wedding day compared to hers. Morally she has no ground to stand on, but socially she does.

But she's openly stated she doesn't care about family or anything else when it comes to getting what she wants (in the kitchen during the second tilak, before the unfortunate MUH MITHAA KARO incident😆)

Arohi-Akshara do have a unique situation because I think Arohi does care for Akshara and somewhere still wants (wanted) a sisterly bond with her. Usually this sentiment comes out only when Akshara is on the brink of death... But by constantly smothering her with her Aroo Aroo and by trying to get Arohi to feel and act the way she does, Akshara practically guaranteed that Arohi's resentment and irritation would increase. And of course Arohi being Arohi decided to channel Akshara's devotion into serving her own ambitions.

Given her character's intrinsic traits, my thought is that Arohi cannot become the sort of person who can ever truly empathize with her sister or fall unreservedly in love with someone (well it's ITV, so ANYTHING can and will happen😆). But if they keep true to her character and try to redeem her, we could see develop into a better version of Mahima - ambitious and ruthless but with a little more sincere humanity and love for family than Mahima currently displays. I suspect we will see the exact opposite arc for Arohi now - she is about to become a desi Maleficent!

Sad that. Whatever they do with Aarohi I am sure its going to be disappointing for those of us who are putting so much thought in unraveling the layers of her character.

Yeah subtlety is not a forte for this show's writers. Have you read 'Wicked' or 'The Wide Sargasso Sea'?
I love books from the perspective of the 'villainess' that show the layers and circumstances leading to their eventual negative role in a more popular setting.

Oh, I loved Wide Sargasso Sea so much, that it really did ruin Jane Eyre for me.

Using words like "kicking the butt", for Abhimanyu that too by an abuser and loser like Arohi shows the level of immaturity here.

If people know that their hate for Abhimanyu is not going to be fulfilled in the show, and if they aren't interested in watching Abhira's love story, I wonder why they're watching the show or spreading negativity and toxicity in every post of the forum, just like their favourite Arohi does in the show.

But of course, freedom of speech, so anyone can say anything even if it is openly hating and spreading malice.

And Arohi has indeed been obsessed with Akshara even before the leap. She couldn't stand Akshara's presence around her from day 1. She couldn't stand Akshara being hugged and loved by the family. She's out to ruin and destroy Akshara's happiness which is obvious since the very beginning. I wonder which show people are watching. Is there an alternate yrkkh running where Arohi has been okay with Akshara's presence?

If Arohi really wants to be the best and if she really has it in her to become a better doctor, then she would have never even thought of bribing her way to a degree. The fact that Arohi is such a low life automatically negates any value in her being a doctor, let alone a better doctor than anyone else.

Just to abuse Abhimanyu, Arohi ke saat khoon maaf. Wow.

Arohi's character is pathetic and how much ever she tries, she can't even become a decent human being. So it's puke worthy to see an evil witch as a doctor in the first place, which is the noblest of professions.

With good reason, right😉

'Jane Eyre' was one of those books I loved as a teenager (the older man/younger girl thing😆).

But when I read it now as an adult I find it problematic (much like our fave show🤣)

Yeah, because for everyone Jane Ryre reached our hands at a very young age, and we end up swooning over it. While Wide Sargasso Sea is not that an easy read and is very complex. I know for a fact that I will not reread Jane Eyre but I might, Wide Sargasso Sea

I'm not going to comment on the rest of the post, mainly because I don't think enough of Aarohi's actual thoughts have been shown to make me empathise with her. Maybe someday it will be shown and then I could defend her or understand her for that matter. Currently she is shown as a very manipulative and calculative woman who is insecure. That's about it. If she was shown as ambitious, I would have liked her character. But there's a difference between being ambitious and being manipulative. Just like there is a difference between being cunning and being clever.

Bold : But that isn't true, is it? Karthik and Sirat were a married couple - they were companions and they probably loved each other. HOWEVER, they were never each other's true and soulmate-waala love that YRKKH preaches about. Both of them had already loved and lost their respective soulmates, at least according to me. If Naira were to show up one day, Karthik would have run to her faster than a bullet. That is the bitter truth, however hard it might be for Arohi to swallow. Sirat was loved, no doubt, but would she ever be the first choice for Karthik? Nope. Which is why the show hasn't talked about Naira vs Sirat in this season. Because when you spend 5 years telling a couple's love story, it's hard to get on board with a couple that was on screen for barely 6 months and defend them to be eternal lovers. Even the promos were about Karthik and Naira's next peedhi coming in. Sirat was a place holder so that this season and Aarohi could be introduced, imho.

What exactly bothers you here? These are not real people, these are TV characters. Is it so difficult to accept that people feel differently about them?
There are posts here calling Arohi a b*tch? Are you talking to those folks about spreading hate and malice?
Or is it only upsetting when Abhimanyu is targeted?

Abhimanyu is a very problematic character for me and I discuss why that is so on this forum (forum, it's NOT a fan page) with like minded people. As I have discussed my admiration for HC with you on other posts. Why I watch the show is really not yours or anyone else's business. None of us owe an explanation to anyone else here how we chose to spend our time.

If you don't agree, why not just disengage instead of attacking people's right on a public form to hold an opinion different from yours.

If people have an issue with others calling Arohi whatever, then their solution is to abuse Abhimanyu?

Okay, great, go ahead. Thanks and have a good time abusing a fictional character just to get back at people abusing another fictional character.

I haven't abused anyone, be it real people or imaginary.

Bye.
