O is for outrage

He was busy reading some medical journal in the living room, when his wife appeared in front of him in a hideous dress of orange. She asked him if this dress made her look fat . He took his time to formulate an answer but his wife was outraged with his silence. She shrieked at him " You don't love me anymore. You don't think I'm beautiful anymore" and left in a huff. Neil and Parth Bhaiya, who were bystanders were snickering at him. He glared at them to shut them up. Akshu came down in another dress, this looked like it was made of some curtain cloth (He mentally decided to burn all these clothes and buy her some good ones). But this time he was prepared " Meri jaan , you look stunning, ethereal.. I have never seen a more beautiful woman" She was yet again outraged with him " you are lying to me now... This dress is hideous and i was planning on trashing it." Parth Bhaiya and Neil were practically rolling on the floor, doubled with laughter. He gave them the stink eye and proceeded to his room to calm down his wife

It was his favourite colour on her. She always looked ethereal when she dressed in violet. Knowing his weakness, she dressed in her violet night gown whenever she wanted anything for him

W is for watch

He always complained whenever he had to stay away from his wife even for a moment. So his wife gifted him a watch and in some Akshu esque logic, told him that the small hand was Akshu and the big hand Abhi. Though they meet only occasionally they are always together. He shook his head at her silliness but was found looking at his watch longingly by his staff, who sniggered at the lover boy

Author's note : I started writing R for rain as a romance but it ended up being melancholic.

R for rain

Pitter patter pitter patter .. the constant thud of raindrops had always calmed Akshu, who found rhythm and music in all the small things around her, but today she was feeling off sorts. It had been just a week since her wedding and she was missing her maika, even her stupid, arrogant,vain and selfish sister ( God only knows why). Though they had agreed to get her married to Abhi for her happiness, somewhere she felt they were all a little disappointed at how things had turned and the relations between Birlas and Goenkas were still a little strained. A strong set of arms surrounded her and immediately she felt at peace. She leaned back into his arms and whispered "Do you think things will get better?" He knew what she alluded to, he gently kissed her and assured her that Mahadev will take care of things. Just as the young lovers were watching the rain, huddled close in an embrace , a rainbow broke out, making them smile. 'If winter comes , can spring be far behind ?' Abhi quoted his favourite poet and kissed atop her head.

Author's note : I had no plans of starting a new series once the A-Z ended , but now why not? So here goes. Please R&R. Will continue if i get your love ❤️

Every Monday without fail, Akshu and Abhi visited the Shiv mandir to thank the lord for his blessings.

As Abhi got ready to perform the Abhishek and Pooja, Akshu sang beautiful bhajans in his praise in her soulful and melliflous voice. It was a sight to behold

As they returned from the temple, Abhi was ruminating how his Mahadev would have felt when his Sati was snatched away from him. Being an all forgiving deity perhaps Mahadev could stand the loss and wait another eon for his Parvati, but he was but a mortal.

Should anything happen to his Akshu he was sure he would destroy everything in his reach and join her , for there was no life without her. He could not imagine getting up to a morning Knowing he couldn't see her, touch her, hug her. And he sent a silent prayer to Mahadev to keep her happy, for his happiness was entwined with hers.
