In the most recent example, she wanted to inform Arohi and their families about their decision to be together and try to persuade them. It would created a huge furore but the heads-up would’ve let the families discreetly make some excuse to cancel the wedding and they would have the discussion privately. But Abhimanyu’s way is will have the worst familial and social repercussions on Akshara only. Yes he’s the bridegroom who jilted his bride at the mandap but now she’s going to be the selfish characterless woman who ran off with her younger sister’s husband to be.
i know we won’t agree on this, but to me most of Abhimanyu’s actions and decisions are made with his own interests and impulses in mind, and with very little thought of how they’ll affect Akshara. If he really wanted to put Akshara’s well-being first, shouldn’t he have agreed to marry any one besides Arohi? It was the most hurtful thing he could do to Akshara and he knew it.

I think those who were wishing for a "family discussion" are very innocent. Have you seen those two families? They turn into a fish market even at the littlest of things and had Abhira even attempted to shed some light, they would have been sizzled and deep fried by each member. Maybe their reputation would have survived but Abhira surely wouldn't have and I watch this show for Abhira. Also, how is private talk supposed to help? The guests had already been invited and attended, nothing would have helped cease the matter. It was actually too late.

@Bold2 In that case, Akshara has also never thought about Abhi's feelings as she let Arohi have her "most precious thing". By first choice, I meant Abhi has always chose Akshara as opposed to Akshara. During tilak, Abhi went against everyone and even his mum for Akshara whereas she chose Arohi and her family. This is the difference between them, he is clear he wants only her whereas she is willing to share him and it was not him who decided to marry Arohi, it was his family ka decision which even Akshara pushed for.

Only recently she is beginning to value him.
