In light of the recent abuse allegations by both Karan & Nisha, let's appreciate how Naitik's show represented abuse with a deep understanding.

Physical abuse doesn't start overnight. Abusers don't hit you on the third date or your wedding night. They first make sure that they have a hold on you, so that they can control & silence you.

  • Like Devyani, they make sure they use finances & society's expectations
  • Like Keerti, they make sure to break you down to the point where you almost think it's your fault.
  • Like Mansi, they make sure to remind you that no one will believe you.

They will remind you that even if you speak up, your own family will tell you to adjust. Society will doubt your intentions. They will make you doubt yourself : 'S/he is not always bad to me' or 'At least they are good to my family'. So there might be a solution. You just have to try hard enough. You have to win their love and respect.

Physical abuse is not just one slap. It is slapping someone you already know won't hit back or walk away.

We learnt that with the three YRKKH women. I hope no one reading this learns it from real life experiences.

And certain people on social media were saying they should start afresh for the childsake..... I was like seriously.... Nisha had that injury.. either she did this to herself of karan did it.... But there is a surety that out of these two atleast one is abuser(may be both)... No one on this earth deserve abusive partner ... Especially not for the childsake.... Of course they should sort it out without involving media n all because a child is there who will grow up after some years.... But they shouldn't be together .... What will that child learn in that environment??
