Not sure whether this would be true given tc spoilers never come true nowadays, but I do see a possibility of the lawyer telling karthik to character assassinate naira in order to win kairav's custody by hook or crook. Obviously, karthik would never agree for this, else his character would be irredeemable. Also it makes sense for court to be in naira's favour as it is widely acknowledged that young children need their mother more as a mother is always the primary caregiver of a child rather than a father.

Maybe his lawyer would question her character..then karthik will defend her in front of his family and vedika showing that he still very much cares about her,...we’ve seen this before ...

Rubbish...I don't think this can anyway be called a powerful role if his lawyer is suggesting him to question her character ... Probably someone from Goenka family might suggest him to show Naira is a bad influence on her child...anyway if it's true, Kartik will not let it be raised in court infront of her.

Apparently the lawyer is positive and a strong character. Even if she suggests doing so, Kartik or even the Goenkas for that matter wouldn’t want Naira’s character to be questioned again.

May be..they are not as bad to Naira as I expected them to be after the leap, infact they were getting softer..But I m sure Kartik will have to prove she's a bad mom to score a point over Naira , otherwise she already has a huge edge being a mother of a child..he ll have to put forth many things to degrade her like her past how she ran away, he may be in dilemma whether to bring that into public or not.

Yes! Truth is that in order to get kairav's custody, karthik would essentially have to not oly prove naira a bad mother or character assassinate her, both of these choices would only degrade karthik in naira's eyes but also remind her of the reason why she left him in the first place and in a way he would only be repeating the same mistake.
