My dislike for Kartik has reached its peak .I don't know what the writers are meaning to show with Kartik giving up Naira. The right thing to do here is to have a conversation with Naira and reassure Keerti. And if possible tell Naira every single truth. Keerti's anxiety and fear is 100% valid, especially with a husband like Naksh who doesn't even think of his wife or kid. Why are all the men in yeh rishta stupid and goddamn disappointing. They are just making the women's lives miserable. Without these idiots around, I think all of them will have a peaceful and dramaless life.
Instead of trying to find a solution, Kartik is acting selfish again. Suddenly he wants to be the best bhai out there and the way he decides to do that is by denying to get married. Has he thought, if this comes out, Keerti will be one who will be blamed and called selfish and probably Naksh will throw her out of Singhania house as well.
The serial shows the men as the major decision makers and women have no role or identity or power. And these decisions men take are stupid and nonsensical.
What do the writers intend to show?
This serial is a true mockery of relationship. Because not a single relationship is shown to be valued here. Keerti and Naira are such doormats for their respective husbands and sasurals. Is this what Star Plus's Nayi soch want women of today to learn?

This is what makes kartik look like a total flake and emotionally incapable of thinking of anyone else but himself
He repeatedly states he cant live without naira and their love is eternal and pure
but in a heart beat he always gives it up for his sister, mother etc...
He wants to be like naksh but does he not see that is the problem with naksh and keerti
Rather than setting an example and talking to naira maturely he decides to break her heart and live in misery and thinks that will be the right choice
He can barely function without naira
How is this naira's fault either
Her self choice again is ripped away from her because kartik in kaira vivaah 2 chooses and decides everything
The obnoxious choice of shoving the family down all our throats to reunite kaira makes it boring
