Part 20

When Akshara looked back at the years, she didn't find anything that she regretted. Her life was basically perfect. Even when she and Naitik were not together, that phase only proved that they were meant to be.

When Akshara entered their room...she got a very different feeling...she came to this room many times...but this room held a different image today...it was not only Naitik's room...it was theirs...

"I love you so much..." Naitik had told her last night a million times...everytime he would kiss her. And everytime she would blush...because he would say it in such a way...that she couldn't believe in anything else at that time. They were in their own world, at that time, totally lost...

Akshara was lying on the bed the next morning...she turned to face him, where he was sleeping next to her, a smile playing on her lips as she kissed him on the forehead.

"I love you too," she whispered what he had told her last night before she hopped out of the bed.

Naitik closed the door with a bang as Naksh ran down at top speed, shouting as loud as he could. He sighed and smiled almost at the same time. He loved his son more than anything else in this world but he still couldn't believe he paid 4000 over a video game that wasn't even appealing...atleast not to him.

Without a second glance, he knew his son is already with Gayatri and Daddajee telling them thousands of features of the game. He entered the living room and saw just what he imagined.

"Papa...mera game..." Naksh whined as soon as he saw Naitik. Naitik handed over the packet to him. "Ye lijiye..." he told him with a little sarcasm in his voice. But when Naksh bounced on the game like it was the most precious thing ever, he simply couldn't stop smiling. Naksh was a total replica of him. Naitik always had a feeling he is reliving his childhood again through his son.

Akshara and Naitik had Naksh just two years after their marriage. He was now four...but he was already into all the latest games and news of everything...which Akshara didn't really like much. Naitik, on the other hand, was always into fulfilling his son's desires. But he still couldn't understand why did his son liked this game out of all the others...

When Naksh was busy telling Gayatri and Daddajee about all the other things he saw at the mall, Naitik quietly went over to his room. His house would soon be getting crowds of people...Akshara and his marriage anniversary was the next day but they were all celebrating it a day before.

As he flung himself on his bed with an intention of getting some sleep before the guests arrive, he heard the bathroom door open. He immediately turned around and saw Akshara...who had just come out of a bath...her wet hair was falling all over her shoulders and he was struck by how beautiful she looked...she was dressed in his favourite blue saree that he loved on her...

"Naitik..." Akshara gave him a shocked look, "Inti jaldi wapas agaye?" She was pretty confident he and Naksh would spend another hour at the mall.

"Hmm..." Naitik jumped from the bed and walked over to her. He removed some of her hairs and lightly placed a kiss on her lips. Akshara's lips curved into a smile as they remain in that position for a while until Naitik breaks free from her grip.

"You are looking amazing," he told her in her ear as Akshara allowed herself to blush.

"Aur hamara baby kaisa hai?" Naitik's hands scraped over her small baby bump.

Akshara giggled. She was five months pregnant now. And ever since they got the news, Naitik was damn sure it would be a girl...Akshara thought that too though she wasn't as confirmed on it as Naitik was.

"Poonam bilkul thik hai..." Akshara told him with a wide smile.

"Poonam?" Naitik cocked his eyebrow at her. Akshara nodded.

"Yeh naam nahi chalega..." Naitik vigouriously shook his head, with a very serious expression.

Akshara made a frustrated sound. They were having these name arguments every day. Naitik didn't seem to like any name in this world for his daughter...or atleast what they hoped would be a daughter.

Naitik smiled at Akshara when she looked at him with a bit of anger. He kissed her on the cheeks and Akshara reluctantly allowed herself to smile.

"Mamma..!!" Naksh entered the room happily just then.

Akshara turned to her son with a wide smile. She hadn't seen him in a while. But now that he was there, she expected him to tell her everything about their mall shopping.

"Papa ne mujhe ye video game dilaya..." he said in a loud voice, happy and excited.

Naitik shook his head. He was still confused over his son's choice. Akshara noticed that and grinned.

"Aap apke room main jao beta...main aati hu.." Akshara told him.

"Mamma..."

"Ha..."

"Main baby ko...feel karu?" Naksh asked with a genuine hesitation as well as curiosity. He was sincerely looking forward to be an elder brother soon. And Naitik had practically told him that if he gets a sister, he can boss around her.

Akshara smiled at her son encouragingly and nodded, lowering herself down on the floor. Naksh lightly put his hands on Akshara's stomach, trying to feel his younger sister. After a while, he removed his hands...before turning away and going down the stairs without another word. "Mamma...niche ayo..mujhe aapko video game dikhana hai..." he kept shouting from the stairs.

Akshara smiled as she turned around to face Naitik.

"Wo saj main bohat excited hai apni behen ke liye," Naitik said with a smile.

"Hmm...main usse dekh kar aati hu..." Akshara told him as she messed up the ends of his hair.

Naitik nodded. Naitik wanted to surprise Akshara with something tonight but he knew he would not be able to think something good until he gives himself a decent amount of sleep...so when Akshara went downstairs, he returned back to his bed from where he started...

By evening, everyone was at their house...Varsha-Shaurya with Ananya, who was now five, Rashmi and Nikhil...they just got married a year back...Mohit and Nandini with their three old son Yash...and Akshara's family members...they were a huge party but the celebration still seemed very quite because there wasn't any dancing like most of their functions had...Akshara wanted a quite anniversary this year with just lots of love and nothing else and the entire family gave her just that...

By eleven thirty everyone started leaving...Naksh insisted on sleeping with Gayatri today and Naitik let him, in a way, happy with his son's idea. He wanted to spend some time alone with Akshara before their anniversary.

Akshara was sitting on the couch in their room, lightly caressing her baby bump, when Naitik entered the room. When Akshara felt Naitik's presence in the room, she lifted her head and widely smiled at him. He smiled back.

"Naksh kaha hain?" She asked him when Naitik closed the door behind him.

"Aaj wo maa ke saath soyega..." Naitik said with a grin, crossing his hands on his chest.

Akshara raised her eyebrow and laughed lightly at Naitik.

"Aur hame kuch kam khatam kar na hai..." Naitik told her seriously.

Akshara giggled.

"Baby disturb ho jayega..." she rolled her eyes at him as she got up from the couch to the bed. Naitik followed her, clearly amused by her reaction.

"Nahi hoga..." Naitik jumped on the bed beside her.

Akshara smiled at Naitik as she remembered their first ever night together...she had no idea what to expect out from her first night...but Naitik had made her feel free...

And ever since then, every night that they were together, it would just be theirs...a night they would create from their own...but today she only allowed her head to fall on his chest as he started caressing her hair...they were quiet for a while until Naitik broke it...

"Akshara...mujhe tumhe kuch dikhana tha...ayogi?" Akshara nodded as Naitik hold her hand and took her to their wardrobe.

"Kya dikhana tha Naitik?" She asked him as he pulled open the wardrobe and brought out a big package from it. She knew it has to be a picture. As she held it, Naitik went behind her and held her from behind, placing his head on her shoulders. Akshara opened the package...and saw it was a collage...covering her life...alongwith Naksh's...

"Tumne mujhe ek baar diya tha, remember?" He asked her quietly, kissing her neck. Akshara nodded as she closed her eyes, shivering under the intensity of his touch.

"Happy anniversary..." He told her, still whispering.

"Happy anniversary..." she whispered back as she turned around to face him. He had cupped his hands around her face, nuzzling his nose on hers until eventually...his lips found hers. When he removes them from hers, he met Akshara's look, smiling at him encouragingly. Naitik smiles back, gently removing few locks of hair from her face, before picking her up and carrying her over to the bed. They soon fall back on the bed...Akshara could feel his body close to her...and she could feel the warmth and how naturally their bodies would find next to each other...and from then on, no words were needed at all...

Naitik missed it...talking to Akshara about things that concerned them...these days, whenever they would start a topic, somehow their baby would find a way into their conversations...he never minded it...he loved his baby already but he missed other small things too...

When Naitik woke up, it was around six in the morning...he turned around to see Akshara still sleeping soundly beside him...he smiled as he kissed her closed eyes, before turning off to switch the light at their bedside.
