Very well said...yes, in Aksh's case the reets were never forced on her by the Maheshwaris...& to her credit, our gyaanvanti dadi always did a great job explaining the meaning behind the traditions...😊...when one has an understanding of why traditions are followed, carrying them out does not seem to be a chore. With the Singhanias, parampara is more of a dictate...imposed by the bro-sis combo of DJ & BS...little thought is placed on the joy of doing these rituals; its more about following them to the T blindly & keeping up w/appearances...
