hi friend we all r frusted with new entry in the show baisa .we dont know in which century she lives but one think i notice daddaji and rajbana called her didi but in marwadi elder sister is refer as jiji im also marwadi so .

bloopers ka doosra nam.. yeh rishta kya kehlata hai.. i noe it is a bad joke.. but neways.. u r rite.. m a marwadi too.. we address elder sister as jiji.. but dat's not a major issue.. wat i find disturbing is baisa's marwadi accent.. it looks so fake n irritating.. daddaji also speaks tooti-footi marwadi.. but wat he speaks is tolerable.. in fact i find him good.. but this to.. oh god.. so fake..

Hi Friend,

You are right that the word 'Didi' is not used much in Marwari households, however, 'Didi' is not an English word...probably orginated in Bengal and now widely used in Hindi belt for addressing elder sister.

Didi is not an English word. It's used in Hindi, and possibly other Indian languages.

Well it doesn't matter whether it is didi or jiji...as far as respect is given ...secondly even if you call her jiji she remains the same.

Evn um a Marwadi n as far as i knw some ppl call thr Nanad ( sister in law ) as Baiji or Baisa

I'am also frm rajasthan yes u'r right didi is used but in modern families of rajasthan .since baisa frm vilage jiji or baai or bana should be used here are some words for caling
sister- Jiji, Jijibaai, Baai, Banna
sister in law- Baaisa, Baaiji
Brother-Bhaisaa, Daadu, Bhaaya
Mother-Ma, maasa, maai, Baa,
Father-Bhaiji, bapu, baabosa

in Mewar region i.e. Udaipur baiji is for mother
