Hi. Its the same story everywhere. They are basically jealous that they cant control their sons anymore. No matter how well I look after mine and our house she is reluctant to appreciate my efforts. I m a perfectionist by nature and no matter how hard she tries I score better when it come to neatness and cleanliness. And to add more to the fire hubby prefers my cooking over hers to a certain extent. MIL had in mind a traditional sari clad long haired bahu who would bow to all her whims and facies. I happen to be just the contrary. I prefer salwar kameez and skirts, keep my hair shoulder length and sport this no nonsense attitude wherein none gets to dominate me. This is a fight which goes on unchanged with every generation.

😆😆😆..bad bad charu.......i live far away from my m-i-l and go to India only on holidays, so the relationship (ma sha Allah) is very good. But otherwise also she is the non-interfering type and has no probs with anything that I do or dont do for my hubby.

😃 i have no issues with my MIL..bas this communication gap...i talk less and she doesn't stop..All i want is that she should tell me clearly what am i supposed to do..actually guide me bec. i'm still a youngster at heart..i dun know this "duniyadaari" and how to maintain a social circle, how to handle all the responsibilities well, how to play each role to perfection...she has a lot of expectations frm me and i wanna live upto them but sometimes bec. of lack of communication, tht doesn't happen..now nothing irks me..sach ..even if she says something to me, i think tht's her love and affection for me...she cares for me, she wants me to change for better....i'm very sensitive by nature..even a small baat upsets me a lot n i keep thinking n thinking abt it but never react...but ab a lot of things have changed after marriage...for good 👍🏼 i genuinely, frm the bottom of my heart love and respect my MIL....

My MIL likes to have competition with me, when ever I make something good and hubby and FIL likes it alot, my MIL makes the same thing the following week...it's like oh my god GROW UP! My FIL is a perv, he goes and washes all our clothes and starts touching womens clothes and folding it up...I kept telling him I'll do it but he refuses it's really sick! Akshar's FIL is understanding and a sweet talker...if only my FIL was like that I would be a little happier.

I don't know if this is still true, or if any of you married women let go. When your in-laws have a go at you for some silly mistake do you talk back to them? I was told not too so I don't say anything but I do tell my hubby what happened and he never says anything about it so I have to just let go of the matter. Do you girl's also let go after? or do you stand up for your rights? is curious to know this :)

dun know abt others but now i have reached a certain level of understanding with my MIL..if she says something hurtful to me (which is actually not..they r just small small things, when ur not in a good mood, achi baat bhi buri lagti hai 🤢 ) , or if i say something to her indirectly (i never answer back..) , we both get normal after 10 mins....i think u have to have a big heart to forgive and i always forgive n forget..let the other person be happy..i tell myself at least i made somebody happy..

My future MIL is the best, she is the sweetest person in the world. I guess you treat them the way you want to be treated as they are also your elders and want respect!
