Hi...you made one. No one is here to discuss anything. Sweety ji's death has put us off big time.
I don't know if you missed it but Padma mentioned in the last LT that 1000th would be the last in the series. Though that is not mandatory, you could name this one chitchat if you want. Then we could continue this as Chitchat even after the forum is archived.

Hey Tuna
It's more like we loved Sweetyji so much that it's difficult to bid farewell to him. So more like our hope that he is still around than whatever makers have decided (which we don't know)

Pyrrhic victory, that's the term echoing on my mind since Sweetyji's loss yesterday.

Some background from the web

Pyrrhic victory

A victory that is offset by staggering losses, as in The campaign was so divisive that even though he won the election it was a Pyrrhic victory. This expression alludes to Kind Pyrrhus of Epirus, who defeated the Romans at Asculum in b.c. 279, but lost his best officers and many of his troops.

Pyrrhic victory is a victory that inflicts such a devastating toll on the victor that it is tantamount to defeat. Someone who wins a Pyrrhic victory has also taken a heavy toll that negates any true sense of achievement

I don't think it'll negate the sense of achievement for destroying KK. He killed Krishnamurthy, Prabhakar, Dinesh Swami, plane crash victims, Sweetyji, Hira, have much pain to all their families and probably countless others.

So it's important to see him lose everything. He even played with emotions of his wife and kids for selfish reasons.

But I'll always wonder, at what cost?

Agree and so true...some losses can not be made up for. Didn't know the word. Learned something.
