Yes, the show had been strong on reinforcing good social practices. And you all have spelt them out very nicely.

While I like the scenes that scream social message, what I love is the subtle ones which are not on your face, but just in the flow. And this show has many subtle ones which are shown to be inherent character not as a gyaan of how to live!

I loved many such moments. In no particular order (and in the risk of repeating what you all have said before)

  • A man knowing his responsibility in the kitchen tops the chart for me like Siddhant says, post dinner cleaning of the kitchen is his thing! No, it doesn't matter if the woman is working outside or not; the man shares even then!
  • That materialistic things do not weigh much. I love the love for bikes this show has. And with the helmets on!
  • The way they don't show Karthik/Shrikant going one up against their sister in office without a noise, that's equality! (KK runs business & life differently!)
  • Refreshing to see that a FL reads a situation very well. Be it, when Siddhant tried to confuse her with big update files or now on understanding what could have transpired post her talk with Gayatri-ma.
  • Having Heera in the midst of SHARK, instead of showing that the quick & criminal minds are owned by men! And they showed her to be strong to find reasons, while the rest cowered around!
  • I also like that the FL is not shown shy and docile and ready to embrace that she is in love, that she is not loved back (not true!) and be able to communicate on that (getting Siddhant to talk to her dad). Need such characters in the society, than forcing on caricatures to live by!
  • I love the parent-child bond in both families. Keeping aside, their other characters, both PS and KK showed enough grit in trusting and raising their children.
  • While the list can go on & on repeating and reminiscing all that is there, I would finish with one key thing. I have not seen someone man-handling, eve-teasing or raising hands on women. That takes all my respect.
I loved this topic, so might be back on this again. Life calling, for now!
