Per Hiya's suggestion, documenting a few social issues that have been highlighted in our show. Please feel free to add to this list or share more instances when you saw these being brought out:
1. Against gender discrimination at workplace (maternity, workplace harassment etc.)
2. Against gender discrimination at homes (sid with tea and household work.. etc.)
3. Against lack of social parity (education system, middle class v/s rich etc.)
4. Pro right to equal opportunity (married or not.. male or female..)
5. Pro multi-cultural families
6. Pro acting and fashion as respectable careers
7. Anti bribery
8. Anti wedding extravaganza
9. Socialism v/s capitalism (portraying both schools of thoughts not necessarily 1 in bad light)
10. Against substance abuse
11. Shall we add safe driving based on latest spoiler?

mavu topic shud mention 'raised in ypntkh' i think 🤪

such a strong list there.. and they did raise these in such an intelligent way! 👏👏

i have a few more to add

1) home chores are not only a female's job. sid was always shown helping. isse kehte hain mard

2) there was a very nice way in which they showed that girls and guys have equal rights over their dad's business. otherwise in a country like ours the girl is just left out of the loop.👏

3) the whole thing about how happiness is more important than what people say. that success depends on how happy u r and not one how the society judges u. brilliant! 👏

Add it Mavu.
I loved the one about marriage extravaganza.
People waste so much money only on the venue that it's sad and not even including decorations and Jewelry and clothes.

ok some more
1) how powerful ppl have judiciary and politicians in their pockets.

2) how males in this country dont value the wishes of their wives to have a career (kk-neeta)

3) first time ever a broken ML was not shown drinking himself to self pity. how alcohol wasnt used as a fashionavle thing for the ML and how he was brave and fought while respecting the love of his life 👏

4) not drinking alcohol was a good thing was promoted in the show. anu n sid were proud of it that anu doesnt drink.

5) there was some effort put there to show dignity of a woman. the ML respected all the women in his life.

6) that love wins over power 😳 (jk rowling ki yaad aa gayi phir se)

Overall closeness in families like Mom asking for whereabouts of her 28 yr old son. And KK asking for Anushka every morning irrespective of how rich they are. Appreciable 👏
