CHAPTER 1:

Siddhant looked at her furiously. She was not ready to understand a word.

"You have no idea how unethically that firm works. We should not collaborate with them at all" Siddhant almost shouted at her.

"I don't want to hear anything! They have the best designs and Reddy corporation will definitely work with them. I have done my research and haven't found anything wrong with this firm" she answered firmly, sure about her decision.

"You don't know! Nothing is on the papers or the internet. But I know truth" he argued.

"And why do you think that i am going to listen to you, Mr. Sinha?" she asked him.

"I am your Legal Adviser for god's sake" he answered frustrated.

"Definitely not by my choice" she said sarcastically as she sat on her desk and got engrossed in her files clearly indicating him to leave.

Siddhant took a deep breathe and calmed himself down.

"Dekho, ye sab bohot risky ho sakta hai. Reddy corporation is at stake. And most importantly if something happens, you'll be the first one to be in trouble because you head Reddy Fashions" he said calmly this time.

"But agar kuch galat nahi hua, toh ye collaboration hume kahan se kahan le jaega! We'll be the leaders in the fashion industry" she retorted.

"Have you lost it, Purva? Stop acting like a teenage kid. Jab main keh raha hoon ye deal nahi hogi, toh nahi hogi. I won't let to go ahead with this and stake your life" he shouted at her.

Purva shivered for a second but composed herself the next moment.

"Mind your tone Mr. Sinha! And it's Mrs Reddy. Don't try and cross your limits" Purva shouted back at him.

Siddhant sighed.

"Look, I am sorry for my tone but just try and understand what i am saying! I just want to protect you. Bhai hoon main tumhara" he said very calmly and kept his hand on her shoulder.

Purva jerked away his hand immediately.

"Bhai?" she laughed.

"Mere bhai ko mare huye 2 saal ho gaye hai Mr. Siddhant Sinha" she said coldly and left her cabin.

Siddhant looked on as she walked away. A sudden wave of sadness engulfed him. He wiped away the tear that was going to spill from his eyes and decided on what he had to do next.

I don't know how many of you will be interested but this short story is basically about Siddhant and Purva's relationship.

I got this idea and decided to pen it down.

CHAPTER 2

Karthik was busy in looking into some files when Purva stormed into his cabin. She looked visibly annoyed and ready to kill anyone that moment. Karthik wasn't surprised. That is how she has been behaving from past 2 weeks since Siddhant Sinha had joined Reddy Corporation.

"Kya hua Mrs. Reddy? Ab kiska khoon karne ka iraada hai?" Karthik joked to lighten up her mood.

"Karthik.. Tum na chup raho! Apne sade huye jokes apne pass rakho" she said as she sat on the chair opposite Karthik's desk. Karthik laughed at her cute annoyed expressions.

"Accha baba! Batao mujhe kya hua? " Karthik asked her as he held her hand in assurance.

"Karthik tumne uss insaan ko yahaan job kyun di?" she asked frustrated.

"Kiski baat kar rahi ho?"

" Bha.. I mean vo Siddhant Sinha ki. Aur kiski. Jo bhi kaam hum karna chahte hai, humesha hume tokne aa jaate hai" she replied with an annoyed voice.

"Yaar vo Reddy Fashions ka Legal Adviser hai. He knows what is the best for our company" Karthik explained.

"Dunia ke baaki saare legal advicers marr gaye the?"

"Purva, he cleared our Interview Panel. I had no say in it" he laughed again.

"Tum bas haste raho! Hum keh rahe hai.. Agar ye deal Goyal's ke saath nahi hui, toh hum ye project chhod denge" she said as she left his cabin.

...

Siddhant was sitting in the cafeteria having his breakfast, or rather playing with his breakfast whilst thinking something.

"Siddhant Sinha, Iss parathe ko bhi ijaazat do ki usko tumhare pet me jaane ka sukh mile" he heard a voice say and smiled.

"Iss parathe ko toh yeh sukh zaroor mil jaaega, par tumye humse aaj shhudh hindi me kyu baat kar rahi ho" he asked her.

"Bas aise hi, tumhe kya laga tum hi ye heavy hindi words ka aadan pradan kar sakte ho" she laughed as she sat down with him. Siddanht laughed too.

"Acha batao itne tensed kyun ho?" she asked.

"Tensed? Nahi hum theek hai. Kyun?" he answered.

"Siddhant Sinha itna toh main tumhe jaanti hoon, tumahari pareshani tumhare chehre se padh sakti hu"

"Kuch nahi Anushka, bas Purva ko lekar thoda pareshan hai. Usne toh jaise soch lia hai ki hum sirf uska bura chahte hai" he replied very sadly.

"Toh usko samjhaao na! Bhai ho tum uske"

"Bhai hi toh nahi maanti vo hume. Kabhi kabhi lagta hai hume chale hi jaana chahiye, Vo khush hai apni zindagi me.. Hum sirf uski pareshani badha rahe hai"

"Aisa nahi hai Siddhant. I have seen the pain in her eyes! She really loves you. Tumse galti hui hai, and you are one who needs to mend everything! I don't blame her but you cannot give up like this" she said very calmy, keeping her hand on his reassuringly. He smiled back at her.

"Don't worry main uss se baat karti hoon" she said as she stood up.

"Thank you for everything Anushka" he said and smiled at her as he walked away.

...

"Purva, ye main kya sun rahi hoon" Anushka spoke as she entered Purva's cabin.

"Arre Anushka aao, baitho " Purva smiled at her.

"Purva, hamare legal adviser ne bola hai Goyals ke saath ye deal theek nahi, fir bhi tumne ye papers sign kar diye hai" She asked her seriously.

"Anushka, humne apna decision le lia hai. Hume nahi pata tumhare legal adviser ko kya problem hai Goyals se, jo sab vo keh rahe hai mujhe fake lag raha hai. Kuch faayda hoga unka isme" Purva replied coldly.

"Purva, are you serious? Isme uska kya faayda hoga? Don't act like a kid" Anushka argued.

"Vo sab apne faayde ke liye karte hai Anushka. Tumhe kya lagta hai, apni khud ki itni badi company chhod kar vo yahaan kaam kyun karenge? Bolo? Kis liye?" she questioned.

"Tumhare liye" Anushka answered.

Purva's eyes became a bit moist but she cleared them up immediately.

"Mujhe samajh nahi aata Anushka tum unki side kyu le rahi ho. Tumhe bhi chhokar chale gaye the na vo? Fir chale jaaenge vo, tumhe aur tumhaare pyaar ko thukra kar, patanhi tum kya expecte kar rahi ho unse" Purva almost shouted at Anushka this time.

Anushka teared up as soon as Purva spoke these words.

"Mere aur Siddhant ke beech ab aisa kuch nahi hai Purva" Anushka said as she wiped her tears.

"I am sorry Anushka. Hum tumhe rulana nahi chahte the. Patanhi gusse me kya bol dia" Purva apologised.

Anushka nodded and left her cabin crying silently.
