Almost 95% of the people said it was the woman because had she not slept with the guy this wouldn't have happened so what they basically meant was she deserved to die as she had cheated on her husband and a couple who said it was the friend and a couple who said it was the husband.

Since I couldn't pin the blame on anything other than the circumstances my first immediate answer was the madman because he is the one who killed her in the sense of committing the act and everyone pounced on me. I was the only one with that answer. They said that a madman was not responsible for his actions not even in a court of law and since I had to come up with a second answer I said it was the woman for having decided to go to the bridge knowing fully well that there was a mad man there and she would die, that she could have waited, chosen to either be honest or not with the husband, as per her choice and ended up telling them that in reality the whole buildup of circumstances was responsible and this is the way it was all meant to pan out.
Well they looked at me as if I was from some other alien planet then.🤣

As far as the readers of Elle magazine are concerned, an overwhelming majority had also chosen the woman because she slept with the guy..

Interesting... I asked my sister this just now.. and she also answered the madman at first lol. 😆. I don't disagree. I mean the madman may not be responsible for his own behaviour but he was responsible for ending her life unfairly. The only reason I said her because she knew he was there.

But its not surprising to me that a lot blamed it on her cheating. I think that's the result of a strong sense of internalized misogyny that is still prevalent in so many. I agree its not really fair to blame the cheating as the reason she died. She is wrong to cheat no doubt... but its really two separate things.
