I think someone has brainwashed Rao into believing PS was a threat. I have a feeling now that airline case and his death are not connected, just a coincidence that they occured back to back.

Heera must've crashed the plane and meanwhile someone has lured Rao into the fact that PS is hindering KK's growth so he removed him.
