He saw himself, infact he saw his brain asking him to go on. I'd love to see the younger version stopping him when he's ready to go! He needs a shake and someone needs to knock sense into him. Anushka just did that!😃

If Prabhakar took lifetime to get to the Board of director position, it was because he was not concerned about the money. I am sure, he was still able to provide for his family. He believed in staying on his path and moving towards the goal, not necessarily achieving the goal by any means available!
The point she made was- that he should do what makes him happy. The question is does going to Russia and the position of board of director (BOD) make him happy? The answer is NO. When Sid talks to himself in the mirror, all he did was rationalize. If it was his antratma- inner consciousness ki awaaz, he would have seen the younger Sid in the mirror, like he confessed his love to himself in the mirror! Anushka is encouraging him to identify the 'true happiness '. She knows him well to know where his true happiness lies!
I don't think she was wrong! It is not about money and ambition. If that was his true happiness, she would have supported it! His happiness lies elsewhere and only he can discover it! She is showing him the way!

He won't be happy, he's not a gold digger! He is very much a man, a gentleman with a lot of feelings and care. He's just gone astray as Prabhakar had expected and hence he foresaw this and appointed Anushka to guide him.

She does know him well indeed! The characters of Anushka and Sid are brilliant ! The actors should be lucky to get author backed roles! Brilliant work by the team!

Sid's ambition is perhaps been forced on him, due to whatever he has been through at school and also he feels that he needs to be rich to match up to Anushka and to please KK. Hence there seems to be so much angst in him, plus with Anushka being away, he would have been lonely at heart, since they used to share everything till she left.

Being ambitious and having a career is important, but Sid here seems to be in a hurry to grab any oppty so as to fast-track his path to being rich and hopefully get Anushka for it.

But Anushka is not interested in this mad rush for money, nor can she see him just leaving his family and going away barely a month after his father's death. Also, she can perhaps see that no matter how rich he becomes, he cant match Reddys anyways! Esp now that Sid has seen vedant an the high standards that KK has set for his ideal damaad.

Anushka must now be needing him around physically too. She knows they wasted 7 years she does not wish to waste on more year, that too knowing fully well he wont be happy that too in a country like Russia..

My 1.5 cents on a sleepy lazy afternoon😆
