Then I thought midway that I'll make them elope but both were well discussed so I came up with this third scenario. I'll be finishing it off real soon, before this too is popular as a prediction 😆

KK was still quite rooted to the chair. He felt weak in the knees. One man had leaked all secrets to the Income Tax Dept. But on who's orders?

And the man who he had suspected - who he had assumed to be like himself, cold & shakable, had inturn saved the core of Reddys. He felt ashamed of himself - ashamed of his thought, behaviour and ambition. He deserved such a fate.

The car honked on the gate.

Siddhant & Anushka entered in a few minutes. Neeta hugged Anushka. Riddhi too arrived with them silently.

"Tum theek toh ho naa baccha?", She kissed her forehead. Siddhant turned around to leave when KK stopped him. It was the first time he spoke after the news broke.

"Sid.. Siddhant", he barely managed to mumble. His breath was heavy.
"Thankyou", KK said.
He nodded his head in acknowledgment and again was about to leave when Karthik stopped him.
He walked upto him and hugged him earnestly.
"Thanks Siddhant. Thankyou so much", tears swelled in his eyes. "Tumne naa sirf iss baat ka pata lagaya ki iske kaun hai par humaari Construction companies ko bhi bacha liya", he said.

He patted his back.

"Yeh batao toh sahi ki tumhe pata kaise chala?", Srikanth asked Siddhant.
He glanced towards Anushka. She was all smiles for her man, appearing so happy in this sad situation just because he'd lessened the mess for them.

He rolled his eyes.

"Yaad hai hum Singapore ke liye nikal rahe the? Uski flight reschedule hui thi. Par boarding pass ki copy usne puraani cancelled flight ki di thi", he said.
"Tabhi mujhe laga ki kuch gadbad hai. Phir humne airlines mein pata lagaya ki Vikram Singh naam ka koi passenger tha hi nahi rescheduled flight par.
Aur humaara stay bhi extend ho chuka tha. Maine turant Karthik ko bataya lekin kismat toh dekhiye, Singapore mein thunderstorm aa gaya aur connections disrupt ho gaye"

"Wapas aate hi Karthik aur main seedha uske ghar pahunche toh humein Reddy Corporation ki saari files mili. Saare accounts, warehouses ki list aur kya nahi"

"Haan Appa", Karthik began, "Phir Siddhant ne mujhse poocha ki aapke liye sabse important kya hai. Bass phir, hum sab construction site pahunche."

"Aur udhar toh gazab hi ho gaya", it was Anushka's time to explain.

Flashback

"Siddhant tum yeh karne kaise waale ho isse?", Karthik asked him.
"Karthik sawaal mat poocho. Bass karte raho"

The trio were trying to find something fishy in the site.
"Zaroor idhar kuch toh aisa hoga jisse yeh jagah seal ho sake", he reasoned.

Just then, Anushka slipped over something kept in the corner.
"Aree Anu, tum theek toh ho?", Karthik rushed to her help.

Siddhant moved ahead and touched her cheeks with his fingers.
She blushed furiously but soon realised he was more interested in the powder.

"Karthik, yeh drugs hai. Yeh cement ke sacks mein drugs hai!", He told.

Soon, sirens started ringing and they could hear officials enter. "Common, hatao ise!", Karthik & Siddhant picked up the bags while Anushka ran towards the entry to distract them.

KK was dumbstruck. He didn't have words enough to either thank him or to tell him how wrong he was.

"Accha Sir, hum chalte hain", Siddhant took his leave and left him wondering.
