"Appa! Yeh kya baat hui? Reddy Corporation ke 25 years ki party mein couple entry!", Anushka grumbled like a kid. It was her idea to have a celebration and it was unfair on Appa's part to potentially exclude her from festivities
"Entry hi nahi, poori party ka theme bhi wahi hain. And rules are rules", Srikanth teased her annoyingly.
"Life mein kisika saath hona bohot zaruri. KK itni door tak pahuncha, kyunki uske saath uska poora family tha. Toh bass, relationship ko celebrate karne ke liye couple party", he declared.
"Anushka, ab yeh Appa ka fault toh nahi hain naa ki tumhe aaj tak koi pasand nahi aaya", Neeta said.
She lowered her gaze and bit her lip while Riddhi tried hard to contain her giggles.
Anushka glared at her rather furiously (and blushingly) and possibly pleaded for help.
"Appa, toh Reddy Corporation ke single employees ka kya hoga?", Riddhi asked in a naive manner.
"Aree Haan Appa, woh bechaara Siddhant bhi bol raha tha, shayad nahi aa paayega. Par use toh important clients se bhi milvana hain", Srikanth mumbled.
Anushka's heart skipped a beat. It was nothing she didn't know of, but realising that he too was in a similar situation as her, was satisfying.
"Toh accha hain naa. Anushka, tum Siddhant ke saath kyun nahi chali jaati? Isse dono ki problem solve ho jaayegi", Riddhi took advantage of that passing remark.
"Par Riddhi, Anushka Siddhant ke saath kaise aa sakti hain?", Srikanth looked surprised.
"Kyun nahi? Dosti hain dono mein. Aur party mein sirf entry ki toh baat hain!", She reasoned, much to Anushka's relief.
"Theek hi toh keh rahi hain Riddhi. Sirf entry ka toh baat hain, it's a good idea", KK said.
Anushka could feel her heart fluttering. The nerves which were numb a minute ago couldn't feel the ground now. She was high up, floating somewhere in the seventh heaven, celebrating the possibility of a date with her love.
"Siddhant se toh poochlo. Use koi aur mil gaya hoga toh?", Srikanth interrupted her fantasy.
"Anna, ho hi nahi sakta!", She blurted out of sheer happiness.
Quickly covering up for the comment, she replied "Aap hi ne toh kaha tha, use koi mil nahi raha..."
"Steady Anushka, steady", she remarked to herself.
Before her face could reveal any of her embedded feelings furthermore, she went straight to her room and shut the door tight.
She could feel the excitement now, her cheeks had all warmed up and her body was flushing with energy. She was in high spirits, cruising past her dreams. She grabbed a pillow and started dancing with it, visualising her ballroom performance as she would match her foot with Siddhant!
Kya hashr ho khwaab ke mukamaal ho jaane par,
Jab khayalaat mein hi jannat baithi ho sirhaane par!
