KK barged into his bedroom. Neeta was busy reading a magazine, comfortably sitting on the bed.

His sudden presence startled her. His expression couldn't be comprehended. Though she was sure that his mood was terrible.

"KK?", She asked.

"Yeh ghar tumhaara bhi hain...", He spoke finally.

"Haan hain?", she told, confused.

"Tumko pata hai tumhaare bacchon ki life mein kya chal raha hai?"

"KK, hua kya hai?", She asked worriedly, getting up. The sky lit up electrically. Seconds later, a thunderous sound engulfed the atmosphere.

"Uss Siddhant ki toh! Himmat kaise hui uski! Appa aap tension mat lo, main hi use dekh loonga", Srikanth blurted, visibly irritated.

"Nahi", KK spoke calmly. "Siddhant Reddy Corporation ke liye ek bohot accha tool hain. Uski zaroorat padegi... KK ko", he spoke.

"Matlab?", Neeta broke her silence. "Tum keh rahe ho KK, jaise chal raha hai, chalne do?"

"Appa aap zyadaa soch rahein hain. Mujhe do din ka time do bass", Srikanth asserted.

"Srikanth theek keh raha hain. Isse pehle media mein khabhar phaile, Siddhant ko hataana padega", Neeta said.

"Frankly, mujhe Anushka se yeh expected nahi tha. Ek baar bhi usne humaari family ke baare mein nahi socha! Bachpan se chalta aa raha...", He banged his hand on the chair. Frustration was getting over them.

"Chup!", KK scolded them. "Yeh baat bohot... Nazuk hain. Aise handle nahi kar sakte", he said.

Meanwhile, Anushka & Riddhi were frantically trying to reach Siddhant. His phone was unavailable.

Even Karthik's phone went engage.

Riddhi Googled, Singapore was taken by a thunderstorm. So network was affected disastrously.

Anushka was miserable. This wasn't anything close to what she'd wanted. She didn't want to pressurise Siddhant on wedding but now probably had to. She didn't want to disappoint her Appa but she had. Now that she thought about it, she realised that she was in love with her father's most precious employee. He could lose his job for it! Barely had he begun his path towards success, had acquired this chance after such enormous struggle! And now it was slipping out of their hands. This was the most unapproved moment for the disclosure of their relationship. Had she managed to keep it under wraps for another year, things would've been better.

Another outburst took over her.

"Bhabhi, Siddhant ki naukri chali gayi toh?", She placed her palm on the forehead.

She dialled his number once again but this time it rang switched off.

Riddhi gave her something to eat. It was evening by now.

She gave her medicines and tucked her to sleep.

...

It was more than 24 hours since Anushka had left her room. She sat on the bed with puffed eyes, sore throat. Her body was cold and chilled. Her fingers got numb and no amount of water could drench her parched throat.

Riddhi sneaked in her room suddenly.

"Chalo utho", she told her.

She stared blankly at her.

"Aree jaldi karo, samjhati hoon", she grabbed her hand and they fled. Since it was morning, the entire household was silent. They quickly got into the car.

Anushka knocked on the door. Her trembling fingers hardly produced any sound.

Purva opened the door. Gayatri was taken aback seeing her state. "Anushka, kya hua? Sab theek toh hai naa? Aao baitho", she said whilst wiping her wet hands in the saree's pallu.

...

"Anushka main toh bohot naraaz hoon! Mujhe bhi nahi bataya!", Purva stomped her feet and ran upstairs.

"Purva! Aise nahi kehte!", Gayatri shouted but she slammed her bedroom door in response.

"Waise... Theek hi toh keh rahi hain", she spoke seriously. Anushka's eyes fell down. She'd expected that at least Gayatri aunty would back her.

Tears filled her eyes.

"Bataya kyun nahi! Ismein chupana kya tha? Aur main toh kabse Siddhant se keh rahi thi ki ab mujhe ek pyaari si bahu lakar de. Aur Anushka toh meri beti jaisi hain", she said softly, lifting her chin up.

Anushka fell into her arms, smiling and crying.

"Kya ho raha hai bhai?", Siddhant stood on the door, bewildered.

Anushka's red eyes lit up in a jiffy. Never had she wanted anything more than seeing him right now.

Her eyes glistened with tears while his widened with questions. What exactly was on?

Gayatri asked Riddhi to move away and they went upstairs.

"Anushka pehle mujhe kuch kehna hai", he told. Another impending matter was graver than what she had to speak.

His eyes were tensed and worried.

Karthik's phone rang as he just reached Reddy Mansion.

"Reddy Corporation se koi bik gaya hain", a voice spoke quickly.

"Kya?", He asked but the phone was disconnected.

Calling back was futile, cause he knew it'd be switched off.

He rushed inside to break this news to KK.
