Excellent post Mahi!👏
The episode was fast paced and had many revelations!
I was planning to make a post on the philosophical take of YPNKH - Sinha's since 3 weeks now..but something or the other keept coming up! Am glad the CV'S spelt out the philosophy for the audience yesterday and u made the post on it!

YPNKH- Philosophical take- my interpretation so far- The premise is based on the clash of ideologies or philosophies!

So the Mahabharata mainly gave us the Bhagavat Gita and Vishnu Sahasrnama. I am by no means an expert but as a reader of the Bhagvat Geeta (BG), will put forth whatever I understood/understand.

The different paths of realizations of the Universal soul/Absolute/God/Brahman ( not as in preist) as described in the BG-
1. Gyan yog- Path of knowledge - PRABHAKAR
2. Bhakti Yog- Path of devotion- PRABHAKAR
3. Karma Yog- Path of devoted action - PRABHAKAR

One can choose any path..they all lead to one.and all r interelated...in Kaliyuga, the path of Bhakti and Karma are the easiest way to lead to the Absolute. Knowledge without bhakti is a useless tinsel..Ex. If one just has the bookish knowledge of the Gita but does not use it in daily practice it is of no use. So say a housewife who performs her duties as a homemaker to the best of her abilities, has no attachments to the fruits of her actions ( nor happy nor sad- steady state- equanimity), offers all her actions to Krishna /God is on the right path!
Krishna/ Vishnu / Ram / Parbrahma/ God are one and the same . It is said that if one is unable to recite the Vishnu Sahasrnama (1000 names of Vishnu) simply saying Ram's name will suffice.

Kabhi Na bisre Ram...remember???

In the Bhagvad Geeta, Chapter 4 - Krishna traces the history of Geeta and states that it was first passed on to the Sun God. The knowledge is passed in a Guru shishya parampara!

SINHAS, ANUSHKA and the BHAGVAD GEETA !
Prabhakar means Sun symbolic for Truth!
Gayatri another name for Saraswati which also means knowledge.
Purva means East ( sunrise in east).
Anoushka means Ray of light.
Siddhant means Principles / Established Truth!

The first scene of YPNTKH -
Sid wakes up before the alarm goes off-
He is shirtless...am sure a lot of u noticed 😆
My attention went on the Janeu again symbolic of knowledge!
Tel- maalish episode- Prabhakar explains his philosophy of passes the knowledge to Gayatri who promises to make sure Sid follows the path that Prabhakar wishes so one day he can understand why he was named Siddhant!

In the Sid's house where Prabhakar picture frame is on the wall..there is a murti of Saraswati-knowledge or Gayatri at par. On one side is the Krishna -Arjun on the chariot-Bhagvad Geeta! Above the chariot is devi- probably- Aadi shakti- Absolute!

During Prabhakar's death he turned on the bhajan - Kabhi na bisro Ram...symbolic again of the Path..not to be forgotten!!! Also it is said that one gets mukti/ nirvana if one remembers God at the time of death!

This is all for now!
Sorry for the long post!

Evidence lies in the form of the underwater city of dwaraka that is slowly being dug out by the archeology department and the ram setu that exists between srilanka and India that dates back to the said ramayana times. Never make fun of our books because there is much more than religious angle to it!

Sorry if my words hurt but it pains to see people make fun of.my culture, my country's rich heritage and literature jusr because western world calls it a myth!

firstly - wrong assumption. i am very much indian and hindu and vegetarian.
secondly - wrong assumption again. i was not making fun of anything.
thirdly - wrong assumption again. i very much believe it really happened. infact i believe they might be our alien ancesters and hence had more powers.
fourth - if things happen they need not be written. i believe writing about war and reading about it makes ppl egoistic and aggressive and competitive. it multiplies the war energy. thats what i meant. thats y they say its 'ashubh' to keep Mahabharata at home and work place.
fifth - if you are proud of the culture in your own way that doesnt mean someone else isnt. i am never reading that book. period.

ps - see even the mention of it causes fights. 😆

From what I have read and can recall-
Vedas or Vedic Knowledge traditionally was always passed in a Guru- shishshya parampara in a gurukul. Sage Vyasa is credited with dividing the Vedas into written texts ...I believe the first so called written books..on the instructions of the God.
Mahabharata was also credited to Sage Vyasa..actually written by Lord Ganesha and dictated by Sage Vyasa! The Bhagvad Geeta is an extremely important part of the Mahabharata and is the condensed version of all the Vedas! Also the Mahabharata gave us the Vishnu Sahasrnama- this is extremely popular in southern India.

Bhagavad Geeta is to Hinduism what Bible is to Christianity and Quoran for Islam.

Essentially these texts are to be seen in Spritual context ..Like they are how one should conduct a day today life!

YPNKH- Prabhakar was shown reading the Bhagvad Geeta when he was trying to find some answers. Yesterday we saw KK reading the same!

I had to, can't resist the Geeta discussions 😳

Yes, ive heard this. Valmiki had attained divine knowledge by just reciting Ram naam.

Kabhi Na bisre Ram...remember???

Yes! You can leave the world but never the principles of truth.

In the Bhagvad Geeta, Chapter 4 - Krishna traces the history of Geeta and states that it was first passed on to the Sun God. The knowledge is passed in a Guru shishya parampara!

Yes, true. But I wonder why there were 4 people who received it : Arjuna, Sanjay, Dhirtrashtra & Hanuman.
Arjun wasn't Krishna's disciple, yet got the sermon from him. It's more for the cause of humanity but you're correct on the guru shishya parampara.

SINHAS, ANUSHKA and the BHAGVAD GEETA !
Prabhakar means Sun symbolic for Truth!
Gayatri another name for Saraswati which also means knowledge.
Purva means East ( sunrise in east).

This was TERRIFIC. A brilliant observation Veda. Can't get over this parallel and connect!⭐️

Every bit of it is true!

Thee first scene of YPNTKH -
Sid wakes up before the alarm goes off-
He is shirtless...am sure a lot of u noticed 😆

Wow, I loved your take. Awesome!
Yes it is Prabhakar who has passed on the knowledge to the younger generation. While I feel Sid may go astray, it's Anushka who will be the ray of enlightenment and guide him.
Brilliant WU Veda. Thanks for sharing it with us 😳

PS : My post was on the Geeta & not on Mahabharat. I don't want fights 🥱

Excellent post and interesting analogies..👏
Never thought to look at a serial from a philosophical point of view.

It's interesting what we can learn from a show that is for entertainment.

They are not being preaching, but weaving in the common beliefs so well.

The battle between dharma and adharma.

Sid's choice which to follow , and Krishna will be various people in his life Prabhakar, gayetri, Anushka, KK. ...they will hopefully guide him on the right direction
