I didn't find Anushka that flat in the first two weeks...but last week, I agree she was pretty flat...I thought they were building up to something for her and her character would open up in week 3 but there is literally nothing there...just the usual flat interactions with her brothers...the kind of actress Palak is also doesn't exactly make these scenes ride on charisma...the writers need to write more impactful scenes and a graph for her in order for her to connect with the audiences.

A show as subtle as this one rides heavily on the writing as well as the performances of the actors for the character to connect...frankly I'm finding most of the Reddys super tiresome right now, including KK...cuz the story feels kinda aimless and isn't making impact with the "drama" they set up of this airline deal. And yes, on top of that the writers aren't even showing any real evolution for Sid-Anushka...they need to pick up the pace high time...

This is a daily soap, so if they rush the Sid-Anu love story, that would be the end of the show. The whole point of this show is snail pace of falling in love with each other, that is what they claim anyways. If Anu already starts looking happy and smiling after being sad and heart-broken for 6 years, then what is the point of the show? The whole show is about how bitter and hurt she is and how she falls in love all over again and begins to really smile and be happy.
We need to enjoy their journey. In order to make it exciting, they have started from the present and slowly taking us to their past, so we start building a view of how they were years ago. If we know exactly what happened in 2 weeks, then the whole excitement of flashbacks is lost.

If we want to enjoy a show, we must not expect anything. Coz if the expectations are met already then there is nothing more to look forward to. Being a daily soap, there will be daily interactions, challenges and politics which will move the story forward slowly to its logical conclusion. The process of falling in love is always more exciting to watch than showing a couple already in love. I mean what will they show then, daily husband wife fights???

He looked rather displeased. He loves his son just fine but he does not look happy with Sid going ahead of him. A father should be proud of his son moving ahead of him but that is missing in Prabakar. Also Prabakar's blind loyalty towards KKR raises a lot of red flags. Is he aware of all the shady things KKR is capable of pulling to get his empire running? or is it willful blindness? On the other hand he also seems very self-righteous and stuck up ?? I can't pin him down.

I get your point...they've left so many things ambiguous with both Prabhakar and KK that it's hard to get a read on their motivations...and it's not necessarily done in an intriguing manner that you feel wow this is so interesting...no, instead I'm left feeling mehh and underwhelmed over the vagueness of their behavior.

While I do think that Prabhakar isn't really a grey character, rather it's his struggle with expressing his emotions to his son directly that is the issue here...but the execution of the storyline is so vague and slow that it doesn't make as much impact as it should...individually the father-son scenes are good...but the vague scenes of a thoughtful Prabhakar end up making me feel a bit bored cuz of the slow pace.

You have already given up?😆 I'm not intrigued, at all the characters seem very obvious actually😆 Last week episodes were so meh😕 Especially Anu's character. I wish she's more introspective. She seems very lost and shrugs off everything. Anyway let's see what happens this week.

LOL dunno about given up, but yes my interest deffo decreased last week since as you said, the characters are all being very obvious in some ways...there is no sense of intrigue to the motivations of the supporting characters.

Saw a preview for today where the big story idea is that Prabhakar won't go back to work until he figures out how they lost the airline deal? Seriously? Such slow and blahh ideas they are coming up with? 🥱

Excellent Review👏

I love love love Prabhakar Sinha. What an actor! I have never seen his work before but he is darn impressive.

That scene between Siddhant and Prabhakar was encompassed with so much. The direction was brilliant. All the said and insaid things. And I had wanted to say this thing for so many days... that I so love the flavour of Hindi language used in the show. It is as if the writer is embracing the language, reintroducing us to the beauty of our mother-tongue. And senior Mr. Sinha is so good with his diction, enunciation and hold over the language. Namit has a good diction and voice quality but I found his delivery a bit weak when he delivered the first Sher in his father's office. And the verbal exchange of poetic quips between father and son is brilliant. Sid has inherited his father's passion.

The scene was so we'll nuanced, bringing so many childhood memories. My grandma used to bribe me with batasha and my first pictures are of me in a studio.

And now to KK. Another brilliant actor. He was so stricken there with Sid's refusal. Why was it? Was it because of facing a second refusal after his biggest defeat? Or was it because of rejection from his best friend's son? Or was it because he saw something that the father-son have not yet figured out... That how similar are they... Which KK clearly sees... Or maybe he sees a strong son emulating his father which his own sons would never be able to do or haven't inherited from him which Siddhant has inherited from his father??

Mr. Sinha was brilliant with his gestures throughout the scene... He was like God help me decode my son!!😆

Srikant was a revelation today . He us truly sincere and iversl harmless.

I really wish this show could have been promoted as a power drama instead of a love story. All 5 males (rather 6 counting Sweetyji) are so intriguing. But the love story us interesting as well. So let's see what the makers have got in store for us...

P.S. This us the only show in which I am enjoying every little side character.

Agree with the bits above 😊😊

Sweety ji balances Sid's snides against Anushka well, he was like firki daal rahey ho 😆, her father is way ahead of what you're aiming to be, to which Sid replied that's why she's jealous.

Liked the gardening scene and the couplet, think it can be applied to Sid (some can say Prabhakar as well) and even Kartik (though Prabhakar had not intended that). Kartik can also come into his own when KK feels the time is right.

Maybe a minority opinion, didn't find Anushka rude as such, except that sentence in Srikant's cabin about she couldn't care less who joins or something. As a viewer (Sunita I believe) said, she's trying to put a strong front against Siddhant, and to her, being curt seems the best way. I think in episode 1 or 2, when she's on the dining table thinking about Siddhant post the almost run-in, I remember she cries then tells herself to be strong, it's been 6 years etc.

Looking forward to today's episode, though am not sure why Anushka's department is changed from legal to HR, is it so she can work with Prabhakar, or Siddhant? Or maybe she's trying them all to see what suits her.

Typically legal and HR could go hand in hand. Like in HR you would need to know labour laws, other company specific laws, compliance , fair practices, etc...and there could be so many cases etc that may need to dealt with. The legal with finance is more to do with contracts and agreements etc...

I agree with you they need to pick up some speed in story-letting. I think they need to strike a balance between being dramatic and subtle. Too much subtlety with daily soaps might end up looking meh. But I don't have any other desi shows to watch as of now among the sea of shows like CringeBaaz and Crappannah this one looks rather tolerable😆 So I'll stick around till it suits me. Anyway I'll binge it only during weekends so let's see.
