Our episode starts with Sidhanth seen entering Prabhakar's cabin. Sidhanth shayari bhi suna ta hai 😆. Sidhanth says Sri sent him to be briefed by Prabhakar, upon sitting down, Sidhanth sees a picture of himself with his father. Sidhanth asks about this photo and Prabhakar says it was their first photo together. Prabhakar says Sidhanth didn't like coming to his father, and a look is passed between them here, but Prabhakar convinced him that there would be a tota coming out from a nearby area, as well as tried to bribe him with sweets 😆. Sidhanth says he's never seen the picture before and Prabhakar says there are many things he has not yet seen. Again a small look passes between father and son, so many things unsaid and yet an yearning to have an open conversation is there. There is so much these two want to be able to say to each other yet it never comes to fruition. They share such a fascinating relationship, there is deep care and deep love, an almost begrudging respect as well. But there is no communication, and that love and care is lost when the right words to express them are never said.

Prabhakar then escorts Sidhanth to KK's office. KK greets Sidhanth happily and immediately sits down about salary talks. KK tells Anushka to speak to Sidhanth directly about salary, as she's head of HR it seems. KK warns Anushka to not tease Sid too much as he's now part of the work family. It seems at first that Sidhanth hadn't heard Kartik speaking to Prabhakar, especially with his slightly different attitude in Prabhakar's cabin. But he has and Kartik's words ring in Sidhanth's ears, as KK tries to have a conversation with him.

Sidhanth tells KK he doesn't want this job. Sidhanth claims that even with the big opportunity he's gotten, he's thought hard and long and he can't leave the Khurana company. He claims that Khurana has stuck with him through thick and thin, and believed in him when no one else was willing to take a chance on such an ambitious and young man. He tells KK he is unable to accept this job because of the loyalty he feels to Khurana's company. KK seems flabbergasted at Sidhanth's refusal. KK tells Prabhakar that Sidhanth is exactly like his father, ek dum loyal. Sidhanth asks for his ijazat to leave. KK smiles and lets Sidhanth go. Interesting and a good laying out for the future. My first thought here was SWEETY JI WAPAS AAYENGE. 😳 My priorities here are obviously set. Sweety Ji ki siva aur kuch nahin 😆

Sidhanth walks back into Khurana & Sons, and sees no one. Sweety Ji is seen hiding with Khurana and everyone surprises Sidhanth for his coming back!! Khurana calls Sidhanth a star and they cut a cake in Sidhanth's honour 😆 Sidhanth is upheld as a saint 😆 Khurana says he can't believe how much respect Sidhanth has for him, that he left such a big job for Khurana. Sidhanth is slightly shocked at how Khurana could know so fast, but Khurana tells him to call Srikanth and figure it out. Sweety Ji calls Sidhanth on being smart enough to keep both KK and Khurana in the bag, and honestly same 😆

Anushka is reeling from the shock of Sidhanth having refused the job. She knows he was so sure about the job and Srikanth interrupts her mid-thought, to riddle with her about how she had told him to say thank you to Sidhanth and then had contradicted herself by saying Sidhanth wouldn't be in the job if it were her decision.

Sidhanth calls up Srikanth and Srikanth tells Sidhanth that all of Reddy Corps legal matters will be handled by Khurana's company of which Sidhanth will head the case management. Incredible. Srikanth isn't nearly as bad as I thought he was. A little silly and maybe self-absorbed, but he is a good man when he wants to be. He promised Anushka that he would do as she said, and that if she said to say thank you to Sidhanth then he would do it in the grandest way possible. He also resolves to her about the hurt he felt when she said that Sri hadn't trusted her. I like the transparency here. Whatever Srikanth is on his own time, doesn't dictate his relationship with Anu. She's his baby sister and he does love her, his love for her isn't misguided and it's certainly without malice. It may be the one true, clear relationship he holds.

Goyal is shown at KK's place, courtesy of Kartik's invitation. Kartik tells his father that he should at least speak to Goyal to clear the air out. KK then asks Goyal if he spends time with his family, because he should lest his kids go awry. KK says this while directly looking at Kartik, and claims that children will lose sight of who is allowed within the home and who is not, if one doesn't spend time with them. KK then says that if Goyal is here now, he might as well stay for dinner. DInner is spent in purposeful silence with KK refusing to budge.

Goyal leaves in anger and tells Kartik that as long as Prabhakar is around, Kartik's value amounts to nothing. That as long Prabhakar is around, Kartik will be nothing. I like that they have made this crystal clear, Kartik's foe on all grounds is Prabhakar. Prabhakar's place in KK's life is unparalleled and the trust KK instills in Prabhakar is unshakable. Kartik it seems has continued to try and create his own important position in his father's life but seems to have lost every time to Prabhakar. A sign of Kartik's own insecurity toppled with his ambitious attitude, does not make for a very good cocktail.

Anushka comes home and finds Kartik sitting alone in the courtyard, lost in his own thoughts. She asks him what's wrong and Kartik says that today his father proved that Prabhakar is more important than Kartik to him. Kartik continues to yell about how he's tried so hard, admits that Sidhanth was his replacement and that Prabhakar should have stepped down between the deal. Anushka realizes through this conversation that Sidhanth stepped down because of his father. But I'm kind of miffed at this scene, there should have been more depth in Anushka's reactions to Kartik's words. Unless this drama isn't new, Anushka doesn't seem too worried or shocked at Kartik's word. She tries to calm him down but it's baseless as he's completely caught up in his hatred for Prabhakar. There should have been more introspection on Anushka's parts, a fear of Kartik's impulsivity, and maybe a clearer understanding of Sidhanth stepping down for his father. Sidhanth not taking the job is in direct contradiction to the beliefs in him that Anu holds. It should have been a sign of a slight change in attitude, but it wasn't dwelled on and hence left to it's devices.

Gayatri and Prabhakar share a small conversation in bed, and Prabhakar is lost in his own thoughts about the day. Kartik's words about Sidhanth being a replacement still ringing through him. The next morning Prabhakar is seen gardening with Purva and he shares some knowledge with daughter. Sidhanth walks in on this and calls for Purva to come to the side. He asks her what's happening and asks what Prabhakar is doing. Gayatri asks Prabhakar why he's suddenly worried about the garden but he seems too engrossed in his work. Prabhakar claims that when you can't find the solution to your problems you should always plant a flower, for it will remind that you things will grow without your interruption and the world will continue without you. Prabhakar starts on his shayari and here Sidhanth completes it when he can't remember the rest of the poem. And the poem highlighted that no matter how much you try, a tree will only bear fruits when it itself is ready. I wonder what's going in Prabhakar's head, what is he truly concerned about?

A car honk interrupts the moment and Prabhakar tells Purva to tell his regular driver that he won't be going to work today. Purva comes back claiming that it's a different car and a different driver. Sidhanth goes to check it out and is handed a phone by the driver. Khurana is seen on the other side telling Sidhanth that Sid had once said when he gets a driver and a new car to come for him, is when he knows he's made it as a big man, and now he has. Prabhakar looks on in slight confusion, almost disbelief, and Sidhanth tells Khurana he's on his way to the office. Again, this scene could have used more. More of Prabhakar's odd behaviour, more of the family's reactions to this behaviour. How could Prabhakar, who is so disciplined with his work, refuse to go to work? Why is he behaving this way? What's gotten under his skin? How does Prabhakar feel?

Sidhanth is seen getting ready and speaks to himself in the mirror that he knows Anushka doesn't want it, but now she'll have to see his face on a daily basis 😆 Anushka seems annoyed at the prospect of the same.

Precap - is a tiff between Anushka and Sidhanth again. Sidhanth is seen sitting with Srikanth and their server comes, asking what Sidhanth would like. Anushka shows up at the same time and Sidhanth says that Anushka is THE Anushka Reddy and that she should be served first, as he's just a gareeb bandha. OKAY Sid 😆

It seems I've fast become more invested in Sidhanth and his dynamic with Prabhakar, as well as the Kartik-KK-Prabhakar dynamic. There is so much there waiting to be explored. Anushka seems to not be written as completely perceptive and I'm annoyed that they haven't dwelled on her understanding of why Sidhanth chose to not take the job. There needs to be more here, as Anushka's taunting and malice laced words for Sidhanth don't seem as genuine as they do on Sidhanth's end. Sidhanth's words land with impact, they land with obvious hurt and intent from his end, they feel real. Anushka's words don't seem to land with the same impact. I've also been missing the flashbacks this week, there haven't been nearly enough. And certainly not nearly enough to justify the continuous blind nature on which Anushka's judgement seems to operate. I know it's her vice and one I thoroughly enjoy, but the slight lack of explanation continuously makes her motivations seem empty. We need more depth here and the writers need to step up a bit.

The writers also seem to explore depth and then leave it hanging. Prabhakar and Sidhanth's relationship was shown with clarity today, but where there should have been more exploration there wasn't. There should have been more with Anushka and Kartik's conversation, with more focusing on Anushka's own feelings post conversation. The writers need to not be afraid of depth, as without it we lose seeing into the minds of these characters.

I totally agree ...I m not liking the way anushkas character is shaping in the show ...in fact for me charm of sidka as Jodi is fading ...I don't know what's in writers mind but I m expecting a good lovestory here...lets wit and watch but genuinely speaking palak Jain aka anushka need to work hard in certain scenes and expressions ...I want to feel the chemistry btw leads but up till now it falls flat...instead I really like as u mentioned Sid and prabhakar scenes and karthik and KK dynamics but this anushka scenes I found them boring...writers must offer something new in this lovestory.

Sorry, I couldn't comment yesterday. I liked the episode. I like how various things and situations are being set in motion.
Again, kudos to the direction. I am not able to express it properly in words, but it's being woven well. For a half an hour time slot, covering so many characters in their varying shades isn't easy but these people do a fine job.
I like how Siddhant has both Reddy and Khurana with him now. However, I think that's only a formality for all practical purposes, they'll show him in the Reddy office only I guess.
KK and Prabhakar are very well written characters. It's the first time where both the fathers have been written very well, and they also have so much importance. I wanted to say this yesterday as well.
KK was so powerful yesterday.
Somehow, now I feel, Anushka is slightly lacking. It's partly the story and also how she emotes.
The entire Forum raves about Siddhant and Namit. His character is written well and he's pulling it off well too.
However, Anushka's character has to better.
They have made her as a typical peace maker between everyone who just shows her cockiness for the hero.
She just isn't understanding Kartik's Dynamics and neither is she interested. Why isn't she half as ambitious as her Dad and brothers?
In the first week, her character was nice to be very honest. The scene where he shows her his house and she stares at him, is one the best scenes till date .
The episode where she cries thinking about her lost friendship - right in the beginning. Was amazing.
Now they are making her a typical goody two shoes heroine.
Srikant's character is good as of now. Let's see how this goes .

Nice analysis in depth, Vena.
I missed the first half, your update helped. Thanks.
The triangle is what stood out for me today.
KK-Karthik- Prabhakar.
And I am more and more intrigued by this man named KK. The guy is a little loud and jovial on the outside, but he's really a closed book. Prabhakar knows him best, but I doubt even he knows him well enough. If he did, Kartik wouldn't have affected him. Of course, it is natural to feel responsible, but as a friend I would expect him to know KK can't do without him. I wonder how much further Kartik will succeed in creating this rift.
I respected KK for that spending time with kids dialogue. Prabhakar had been humbly surprised when KK stood up for him. KK did that because he had enough faith in Prabhakar's judgement and knew Goyal was the vermin.
I'm also reminded of how lonely he looked at the piano when his wife left him with a taunt. There's a lot more to this guy. In fact, Sid seems very similar to him. Just like Anushka has the same lecturing qualities and value system as Prabhakar.

Anushka's reactions : Regarding Sid, I don't think she wants to process him much. He surprised her today, but she knows he would never accept a job, over his father. That is just an extra information she got, doesn't change the fact that he got till there with a shortcut she couldn't approve of, even if it saved her brother. He has shown her enough attitude for her to remember how ambitious he is..

Kartik incident was less clear. Anushka seemed surprised, yet calm. It is either a part of her nature that she doesn't argue with her twin or she is open about his thought process. She knows no one in her entire family is fond of Prabhakar except her and Appa and knows there's no point trying to make the rest see.

I agree vena i dont know theres something missing in anushka's character! She has to have a little.more depth...Sidhart's character is so well written anushka's should be comparable..There has to be something that would suggest anu sid belong together and are good for one another...many a times leads become so toxic to one another that you dont want them to be together and i dont want it to happen with sid and anu...oh and i am really bored of her taunting him in every scene

Hello!
Am new to the forum though I am not new to the Jha offering... 😆

Have been following your write-up... I really like the way you dwell on the narrative strengths.. 😊
Am still getting my head around the way Jha wishes to present his new offering..
He has opened many streams of thought...some of them complex... just hope he is able to weave them all together 😊

Thanks for the update...

Excellent Review👏
I love love love Prabhakar Sinha. What an actor! I have never seen his work before but he is darn impressive.

That scene between Siddhant and Prabhakar was encompassed with so much. The direction was brilliant. All the said and insaid things. And I had wanted to say this thing for so many days... that I so love the flavour of Hindi language used in the show. It is as if the writer is embracing the language, reintroducing us to the beauty of our mother-tongue. And senior Mr. Sinha is so good with his diction, enunciation and hold over the language. Namit has a good diction and voice quality but I found his delivery a bit weak when he delivered the first Sher in his father's office. And the verbal exchange of poetic quips between father and son is brilliant. Sid has inherited his father's passion.

The scene was so we'll nuanced, bringing so many childhood memories. My grandma used to bribe me with batasha and my first pictures are of me in a studio.

And now to KK. Another brilliant actor. He was so stricken there with Sid's refusal. Why was it? Was it because of facing a second refusal after his biggest defeat? Or was it because of rejection from his best friend's son? Or was it because he saw something that the father-son have not yet figured out... That how similar are they... Which KK clearly sees... Or maybe he sees a strong son emulating his father which his own sons would never be able to do or haven't inherited from him which Siddhant has inherited from his father??

Mr. Sinha was brilliant with his gestures throughout the scene... He was like God help me decode my son!!😆

I had some doubts regarding Kartik's equation with Sid yesterday but so glad that they cleared the fact that Kartik's very motivation is his father's validation. No issues with Sid at all. I see a great parallel between Sid and Kartik here. Both are vying for their father's approval. But both have inherited some if their own father's ethical code. Sid could let harm befall himself but can never lie straight to his father's face. Whereas Kartik can let some harm befall on his father's dream (which he thought was fixable). So both the boys are walking a dangerous path. Sid will fall greatly in his ambition but I believe he is gonna emerge stronger...
"Girte hai sheh sawaar hi maidane Jung Mei, woh tifl Kya girenge Jo chalte hai ghutno ke bal"...

Kartik's path to redemption will be harder but I feel that he is lost. I like what they have done with him, making him grey... He I not yet too dark and I wish they keep his characterisations intact and don't make him an out and out villian.

Srikant was a revelation today . He us truly sincere and iversl harmless.

Glad that they gave refrained from reducing the Reddy nwn to be caricatures of rich men and have given them individual identities. And maybe the female characters are suffering due to that. The bhabhi is a blonde. Reddy mom has some spark, wish they explore it. Sinha mom has lovely touches in her interactions with her husband. Purva has not got much to do yet. I really don't want her to be used by Kartik... It would seriously demerit his characterisation.

And Anushka needs to bring something more on the table. She has good relationship with Reddy men. And the younger puppy-eyed version is a doll. They need to work on the older one.

I really wish this show could have been promoted as a power drama instead of a love story. All 5 males (rather 6 counting Sweetyji) are so intriguing. But the love story us interesting as well. So let's see what the makers have got in store for us...

P.S. This us the only show in which I am enjoying every little side character.

I agree. I think she isn't able to express freely, her acting has to improve and her character as well. They have made her really stoic in formals all time. Maybe she isn't able to pull that off. And she has to stop taunting him. It's pissing off.
