we all are enjoying this unusual story of armu. I can imagine young girl and older man falling for each other and there are many examples of it in Bollywood.
But a city girl going back to village is something I have not seen in real life. Going for volunteer work and all that is different.
If you know any unusual real life story , share it here.

Unfortunately I know of many city girls married to wealthy guys from smaller places who later on have kids and then leave or rather escape to the city in the name of educating the children and never come back even after the children are married and settled. Each ones own choice.

I myself live in a small town. But the way towns are getting developed these days, I don't find it too inconvenient. I work online and it makes no difference where I am. You need the maturity to find your place in life - mentally and physically.

Actually living in villages is not such a big deal with all the network facilities these days. The pleasures of shopping and mall hopping need not be sacrificed. It's, no big deal. Hop on to your mode of transport and the next day you are in your city. Social activity will take a hit. But no harm done there either. You will anyway be on a social network and when you want to meet - go and meet. That's all there is to it.

It's the way you look at life. Just need to think of it as living in a remote place and making a home out of it ( a pollution free one) If you really enjoy the people around you, it won't be so bad. It's all in the head - you can feel lonely in New York and feel happy in your little home - all in the mind. It's a small world after all!

Two cousins got married, didn't stay there long in the villages after marriage and came back with pati to live in maayka. Had children and now both divorced. I have no idea why they married there in the first place, I guess they were immature, wanted the property and money when they got married then realised it hard to live in a place that doesn't have mod cons and no social life. My two cousins were like the character Dharmi.

I would say it looks good in movies and shows but it's difficult in real life. And there's less chance of falling in love.
I realized my mom was a city girl and my dad from village but he was out living in a big city , working there when they got married. After few years they did go back to village and lived there for few years. My mom had to cook on traditional chula , what not and it was hard on her.
Of course they moved to city once i was ready to go to school and they got enough money.
