Naice, back to 2.2! I personally think YHC has the potential to go 2.5+ if only they try to make the story more consistent but oh well makers have probably decided to go down the typical EK routes, so can't do much there. In any case, I think the increase is due to reduced Mahima screen space last week and more time given to RuSha. Plus, shaadi attire always works! 🤣

Mahima thik hai but just keep her ss to less than 5 min. 😆

Also, Imlie finally beat KDB! SP has definitely hit gold with the 8 and 8:30 slots. Ab 9pm slot bhi thoda sambhaal le.

@bold Oh.. that's even my wish too but since the makers get minute by minute split of viewership, they will show whatever TRP aunties want to see🥱 All Top 4 shows of SP has 2 woman & a hero drama.. that's what works with TRP audience, can't entirely blame makers..

P.S I don't think cooker 2 will work now.. Even the shaadi track got them only 1.9-2.0 at prime time, so I don't see it going up..

@bold - that's true actually, and I get 2 woman & a hero works because it provides that necessary dramatic element. But more than that, I think the thing that's been driving their success is a focus on family and ensemble, the FLs being strong and having motives in life other than winning back the man, and the vamps being grey more than black.

Like in Anupama, the FL is trying to discover herself and be independent. Sai is off to college and fighting to fulfill her Dad's dream. Imlie is also fighting to make the best out of a bad situation and is now going to get educated. And none of the vamps, be it Kavya, Pakhi/Kaku, or Malini are outright black characters. And they are all staying true to the theme of the show, with some light fun moments added in despite all the drama.

YHC started out as a love story but now not only has it diverged from the theme, but here Mahima is too negative. And if they are bent on increasing the focus on her and showing her scheme like they did with Komo and KZK, the TRPs are definitely going to fall. It already did once with the 1.8 and I hope, for the show's sake, it doesn't happen again.

@bold these are just new shows yaar, let's see where they reach after 1 year😆 All shows after a point of time deviate from initial days, it's just a matter of which one gets more crappier.. & some tracks will be good some will be bad, we will need to tolerate..

I don't think YHC will go KZK way.. KZK was messed up from the beginning by changing actors & plots every now & then..But in YHC case, whatever we say TRP has been pretty above 2 after Mahima entry.. Last week was her molesting Rudra, still look at the TRP.. So Mahima as a vamp is working for the show.. that is the message CVs will get from increasing TRPs..

Now with Yuvraj too turning negative & leads crying buckets I'm pretty sure TRP will increase more.. nothing is actually in our hands..

The only good thing is we can see Rusha/Abrargun more if show runs with good TRPs & we may get occasional good episodes or track.. that's my only expectation now😆

No re, KZK actually did get good TRPs for a while but then they messed around with the storyline and increased the focus on vamps and made the leads do the same sh*te over and over again. Obviously, the TRP aunties got bored but instead of trying to focus on the story even then, EK CVs went with mind-numbing twists and we all know what happened.

For YHC, we reached 2+ with Ru's confession and agreed, Mahima storyline added drama which the TRP audience loves. But the problem is now they are focusing too much on Mahima. Mahima is needed to add color to RuSha's story and create conflicts between them but at the end of the day we all are here to watch Ru and Pree, even the TRP aunties. Last week, the TRP went down because of the hyper-focus on M's scheming. This week, TRP increased not because of the molestation scene but like Bhagya mentioned we had Rusha working together and lots of good scenes between them and Pree also gave back to M. And anyway, if TRP audience really wanted to watch molestation, Imlie wouldn't have been able to beat KDB.

@red - I think we are past that phase where TRP aunties love to watch the leads crying buckets. I mean yeah sure, they can be conflicted and pained and sad but if they go the hapless helpless route again, it's gonna fail (case in point: cooker 2.0).

@bold ..exactly those are pretty new shows ..I dont watch any of them but sure after the initial honeymoon period , the tracks will be typical outdated and cringeworthy .

KZK 2 was horrible and OTT right from the start .. I was brought up on the original but this didn't have 10% of the original charm ..

I don't expect Mahima track to drag wayyy tooo longer as YHC TRP aunties also have less threshold point than the bhagyas ..which has been proved ..they also want Rusha to be together or working together ..but yaa for sure another 1 month..

I am sure will be fed with lollilops bigger or smaller in size and if he we get bored we always have the off screen drama to indulge in ...

I'm in no way a fan of Mahima or her track & I skip all her scenes.. But realistically speaking with years of ITV experience I don't see Mahima going anywhere & I have pretty much insight into how these CVs brain work on seeing this TRP😆

KZK2, for me was set up for failure from the beginning.. Because of the hype it got good TRP for sometime, but the show had a lot of shortcomings, bad writing among others.

However, KDB is still a mega sucess.. It's no small feat to have TRP apx 3+ for almost 3yrs.. and there is no show where tracks are dragged as much as in that show.. Imilie & new comers may shine for sometime but it's only after a year or 2 the real viewership of a show will be known.. Even Jaadu jinn show had 3+ TRP for a few weeks like Imlie, but not many show (esp Gul shows) can maintain it in the long run..

So it all varies from show to show, as far as I can see it Mahima vamp is working for YHC in terms of TRP (even more than Yuv, Kirti, Niketan or anyone).. So as much as I hate her & want her gone ASAP, I'm not expecting it to happen any time soon..

Yup, you do have a point but I guess viewership has changed a bit in the past few years. And SP is not the same as Zee, neither is their audience base the same. Agreed about the success of the Bhagyas, but at the same time, it has also been difficult for newcomers to take on the existing popular shows. And looking at the trend, the rise of these three has been consistent. Plus, since TRP audience has a lot of inertia and looove family drama, my guess is that they are going to stay at the top for a while especially since they are adaptations and their makers don't have to go to the trouble of creating new storylines.

No one's denying that Mahima as a vamp has worked but at the same time, too much of her at the cost of the leads has been detrimental. I hope the makers are able to get that difference. After all, unka hi show hai, jo karna hai karo, destroy bhi karna hai toh unki marzi. We can only do so much. 😆
