Okay, another rant, before I take a break from YHC again -

I'm just sad that the makers skipped over so many potentially good tracks. They skipped Ru's angst feeling jealous of Rajeev because he ended up falling for the same girl (when he didn't know everything), Pree's love realization, proper confession buildup, good angst tracks due to MU, proper MU resolution and Ru's redemption, emotional scenes where Pree opens up to Ru after he learns that Pree isn't S's bio mom, Pree's insecurity and angst with the custody track and Ru's outbursts, Pree breakdown when they lose S's custody, and even now they just used Pree's confession as a lollipop. All these big moments were never used to develop them as characters and the worst part is we'll never get these moments back again.

They had so so much potential and to think the makers wasted all these just to end up showing the current Mahima/Yuvi overdose and dumb-and-dumber leads, I feel like crying. 😭

And now with Anupama touching 4 in the 10 PM slot, a trickling down effect is normal and couple that with IPL ending, I would have expected YHC's TRPs to rise as well with the potential they had. But it's not. It's pretty much stuck at 2.1/2.2 while the rest keep on rising. So, unless the CVs are really smoking some 'khatarnaak' sh*t, I think it's very easy to figure out what's working and what's not. 😊

The way the TRP system works is very different. We can’t really compare Anupama with YHC because Anupama’s audience is totally different. I see lot of people hating on Anupama all over social media but clearly something is attracting the older audience towards that show. As far as IPL goes it was declared by the thesis people that IPL had no negative effect on any of the shows really. Barely decreased by 0.1 but most shows in fact increased even during IPL including ours. As far as the rest of the shows is concerned they are getting promos and if not they are fairly new. Hence, the increase in their TRPs. I think our show is the only one that hasn’t got a promo for almost 4-5 months. Star Plus has seen lots of shows like Kulfi where TRPs of new shows started off stellar and then decreased heavily a couple months later. Our show has had a slow but steady upward trend since the very beginning. That is good. It is creating a loyal fan base at the moment and I think it has slowly managed to create one.

It's just that after IPL, the other SP shows with proper writing, drama, and good acting shot up (all of them are pretty much around/above 3 now with Anupama touching on 4) while YHC is still lagging at early 2s (like they were before). If anything, I would say YHC ended up losing out on the growth trajectory with the continued shitty writing and lack of proper balance between leads and drama.

Regarding YRKKH, true they had promotions but they just completed 1200 episodes and even then they managed to get 2.7! Like it or not, that's no mean feat and needs to be applauded. Plus, considering they have to deal with KDB in that slot, I would say they are doing pretty well.

They shot up major because Naira (FL) died. They were at 2.0 last week which was less than ours. Every other hour the death promo was airing on TV with heavy promotions. Personally, I don’t even see YRKKH but I myself switched on my TV to see what was happening and how she was dying. For months YRKKH has been lower than ours. Only this week it increased which a lot of people are guessing is due to the curiosity factor as to how she dies.

YRKKH was showing some amazing tracks (much better than ours with Mahima) but their TRP was still less than ours.

@bold - a minute of silence for all the amazing tracks we never had, in the quest for TRPs 💔🤦🏻‍♀️

YHC has been pretty much consistent in skimming over important tracks with either a montage or a one liner 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep, for some reason, people on social media judge Anupama way too harshly without having watched the episodes. Personally, I don't watch the show but from the few epis I have caught, I can see why the TRP audience loves it. I mean, yeah, there are regressive characters, but those kind of characters do exist in society. The makers manage to keep them gray and use them to build up the drama without going overboard. And the focus is very much on the leads. Plus, the emotions portrayed are pretty realistic and you feel for the characters even if you don't relate to them. And then, amidst all the heavy drama, they add in lighter family moments - I think that's pretty much the formula for TRP.

Same with Ghum and Imlie. They have their dramatic moments, but there are lighter scenes and the focus is consistently on the leads. Again, the emotional portrayal is pretty realistic. If a shows wants to survive, drama is needed. Only romance wouldn't work. We all agree on that.

But what the YHC makers are currently showing is just bad drama - these OTT all powerful villains, dumb leads, no focus on their emotions, no buildup of conflict, the writing has been pretty much shitty. The ensemble is not utilized properly. No fun moments. Just the continuous onslaught of highly negative drama. I can't even bring myself to feel sorry for RuSha anymore. They are too stupid, don't follow any logic, no retrospection, and their reactions don't make sense at all. I mean they say Mahima is khatarnaak but M's actions aren't really that intelligent. It's just that the leads dumbness make her smart by comparison. Then, with all the Saransh ke liye that they spout, no one even talks to the kid or looks after the kid anymore. They give these dialogues but they fall flat because their actions don't match their words. Anyway, let me not continue on that, it's going to be a long one then.

Agreed about YHC's slow audience build up. But then the writing post RuSha's marriage was pretty good, all the way up to the MU. So makes sense why people slowly continued to get hooked. After that though, first with KJ's entry and now with Mahima, the writing has just continued to deteriorate. So, while we had loyal audience increasing before, I wonder how long it will continue given the makers themselves decided to commit harakiri.

It's pretty consistent

but don't want dragging

and much focus on negativity & crime😈

@bold - so true, and the one liners get dragged out as tracks first with Yuvi and jail, then with KJ and MU angst, then Mahima and suicide, and now Mahima and khatarnaak. Such superior priorities, I tell ya! 🤣

Stable at 2.2 for 4th week in a row without even a promo😆

Simple proof TRP audience is not changing the channel even if they are fed 18 mins of akka chudail.. Until TRP audience change their preference for enjoying crap, nothing will change in ITV.. God Bless our show🤪

Exactly why blame makers when people are watching whatever they are serving & it's getting them profit.. The most useless, repetitive & filler episodes like last week's have got them 2.2. This week was still better.. So I don't think whatever they do TRP will fall below 2.2 for atleast sometime now.. that is making them overconfident in giving more SS for chudail..

I will skip & watch good episodes only.. Today's epi, I liked..and will watch Rusha lollipops online.. Just waiting to see where the story is going..

I'm only happy for Abrargun.. they will get their career's best break with YHC if it runs long enough.. Rest IDC😆
