People trying to justify Naina helping Preeti and Preeti being happy have missed the whole point in the post and no point commenting about that. This post was not about arguing who is superior to whom and who gets screen space and stuff...lamIbe and PM1774 I agree with your posts and you have got the gist of the post to some extent. That is the reason being one of the most senior members in IF since the inception of IF I don't post much nowadays as the whole point is lost in the absurd justifications and judgements made. It was a totally different forum back then with like minded people and people agreeing to disagree amicably.

This is so heart touching..I love the way you described their intricate situation...Indeed happy for Naina...But yes the situation Priti is facing is not an ideal one. Supporting characters often face this. Also if I talk about real life this is quite common. Marrying in haste is always like gambling according to me and shall be avoided at any cost...

I truly wish Priti gets all the happiness...

It was not at all a forced marriage for her her decision was very much taken in importance .. She is living the life she opted for and she is nowhere regretting it

See I agree that even I felt that Preeti deserves better. However her saas is just kanjios and not cunning..she does love preeti and that is seen.

See there naina and preeti both have very different persona. Preeri never was that ambicious, like pooja she also wanted to just get married. While naina wanted a career for herself, she knew her academics are the only thing she has. Even now she does want to persue a career and will its just that right now she is focused on first getting sameer a little settled. Naina needs a husband like sameer, who is a little forward thinking and open minded, and supports his wife in doing a job and making a career of herself. If naina was married in a house like preetis, yes she must have been happy with her in laws but something inside her would have died. At sharads time also, she opposed herself when they wanted her to stop persue college. For preeti, she is married..is living in a bigger city and has a little more freedom now, mayebe not too much but its better than with tayiji around. Mayebe her husband loves and cares for her, I can’t deny that he does not get too angry if preeti does waste something according to him, rather he makes it fun with economics lecture.

Its more about what you expect from life and what are ambirions and goals and according to that you feel satusfied in your life .

Lata dear (if I may take the liberty of calling you that) dont take people's posts the wrong way. They are have been consistent fans of the show like you and me and they too have the right to share their opinion. Due to constant bashing of characters and show everyone has become sensitive on the forum. While your post did have good food for thought and was very well written many didn't like you blaming Naina which you clarified later.

As for justifications and judgements aside from one or two people it seems many got the gist of your post and were discussing their opinion about it. Just because their opinion is different from your's doesn't mean they are bashing you in any way.

As for Preeti's happiness she will find it. She is an arranged marriage which she readily agreed to. She will adjust and cleverly tackle the situation and will slowly bond with Shubham. Its very clear that these are the earliest days of their marriage so they will go through hiccups which Sameer and Naina went through as well. But slowly cvs will show their relationship developing and Preeti finding love in the marriage along with her independent identity when she will become a hairstylist. Give the plot time to unfold. It has just started and it would be unreal if they show her having fit well into her surroundings almost immediately. According to the timeline of the show it has not even been a month since her marriage.

Both growing up together in the same household with all the love and care showered on them.

Naina a studious padhaku girl who secretly like most of the girls had a dream of her prince charming.

Priti the girl full of dreams, who is least interested in studying but rosy picture of the tinsel town and dreamt openly about her prince charming.

Naina who met her Prince charming in Sameer and by hook or crook wanted him in her life.

Priti who always and always has been a biggest supporter of Naina and helped her achieve her dream.

Naina who afterall got the life she dreamt of in her prince charming..so what if she has to struggle in life with her prince charming and Love other things pale.

Priti the ever-helpful girl, who is ready to lay down her life for her Sis is married off in a haste to a qualified CA whose only aim in life is his Economics.

My heart goes out to Priti…being stuck with a boring Pati……...acunning MIL and has to take care of her Grand MIL.

Here I am not talking about Ashi and Ayesha…love both of them but talking about their characters and irony of life……how many times hasNaina stood up for Priti or come to her rescue. Even now it is Priti who is doing so much for her Sis and Jiju.

As they say we get what is in our destiny…but here Naina who made her own destiny and got the life she dreamt of…Priti who went with the flow and though does not have any expectations but is leading a boring monotonous life….As they kept saying in the show un dino Love Marriage karna bahut badi baat hain..but really makes one think going for love marriage karna ..going against the wishes of Parents and elders is the best thing to do...a person who always obeys and respects the wishes of Parents have to face the flak and lead a boring life is it. Why are they trying to justify that really.

This post is just for sharing my pov…no offence meant to anyone

Must say this is a really beautiful post!! All of your points put out very well!!

I guess this is life... right?? Naina was an ambitious girl who always got what she dreamt of with her hard work... whereas Preeti dreamt little and found happiness in the little things she got.... the contrast between a hardworking and happy-go-lucky person is beautifully depicted in the story...

Preeti got married into a typical 90's joint family and thus has a husband having a stable career for himself making her financially stable.. MIL is kanjoos and grand MIL needs help for every little thing given her health... whereas Naina got married to Sam and leads a happy life but they arent financially stable and struggle everyday.

So each of them are struggling in their own way.... and Preeti will find happiness in her extended family... cuz she will become a hairstylist soon with her family's support❤❤

Cuz going with the flow needs courage too❤

And no offence taken😉😉
