Seriously it looked like ti was killing him to say those words because in bobby's words 'Sameer toh bada utavla hai iss shaadi ke liye' but isnt it so beautiful that he was willing to place Naina above everything else. Her desires, her relations everything above his biggest dream in life. I think Swati is upset probably because her parents want her to get married too or have already started looking for eligible boys for her.
Munna is a wonderful friend but he is bad boyfriend. People have different priorities in life - for Sameer his priority is Naina and he is ready to go to any extent and do anything ridiculous to please her. However, for Munna his priority is his friendship. That is why he is letting his own love life take the backseat for his friend's happiness. We have seen lot of relationships being sorted out due to his marriage namely the parental relationships however, I feel Munna-Swati's love is going to be the ultimate casualty of Sameer-Naina marriage.
If Swati's parents are pressing her to get married and if she asks Munna to marry him, I don't think Munna has either bullheadedness to fight with his parents nor money like Sameer to arrange his own marriage.
I don't mind break ups - not all relationships in 90s culminated into marriage. Some 90s style break up will be good to watch too.
