Seriously, I am going to write a long post.
I was having dinner and TV was ON. SET TV was the default Channel and some episode of KBC was airing on. It was commercials' time. Suddenly a promo caught my attention. The narration, the girl in her school dress and colliding with a boy and the era of 1990, everything was just perfect. And I fell in love with it. As I am a 90's kid I loved the promo. And I decided that I'll watch this show. I didn't know anything about Randeep and Ashi. I started watching this show and from the very first episode, I became a fan of Ashi. Her simplicity, innocence was just bang on. I was just like her during my school time. And then here came the entry of our hero, Sameer. He was looking exactly like Salmaan Khan of MPK. His hair, his attitude, and befikra style was fabulous. Both of them, as the lead pair, pulled off their characters wonderfully.

Since then, I watch this show regularly. And if I miss any episode, which is very rare, I catch up on Sony Liv. I love this show and the entire cast. I love how they have beautifully portrayed pure and innocent love, value of relationships and having a family so beautifully. There is no vulgarity in our show. I can't describe the purity of relationships which has been shown in our show in words. I never lost my interest in this show as watching Sameer and Naina has become my habit now. 😊

But I was not involved in any extra activities related to our show. And then one day in my news feed, India Forums activity appeared. I checked it and read it and then read all other activity posts. And then I realised that there are so many fans of this show like me and they are just crazy about YUDKBH. I instantly created my account and started getting engaged in the forum, YouTube videos of YUDKBH and AshDeeps', Instagram and Spoiler Videos. I tried Fan Fictions and read all the FFs in one day. Now I am a regular visitor or commenter of IF and I always look forward to the wonderful OS, FFs.

It truly has been a wonderful journey for me as well. You all are amazing. I am really very happy that I joined IF and connected to all the fans. Thanks Abida for making this post. I am looking forward for this Shaadi week and so happy that finally our Sameer n Naina are getting married.

Love,
Shweta

I never watched any show post that...
Then one fine day I saw a small webisode of YehUnDinonKiBaatHai on YouTube where this girl called Naina is nervously trying to tie Rakhi to a boy - Sameer who is moving his hand away...

I just loved the girl then n there and started checking couple of videos of the show... then I watched one full episode on sling international and realized that the music shown on YouTube is diff than original... the very same weekend I ended up watching almost all previous episodes until pooja didi's shaadi and fell in love with the show like crazy

Later one of my friend mentioned about the videos and discussions on same in Twitter and I created an account,,, and then IF account
😆

Everyday atleast 2 hours are devoted to this show and it's FF/ discussions😊
My hubby hates it saying I am obsessed with the show but I am kind of addicted now😃

I have mixed feeling about Samaina shaadi... honestly it will take time for me to sync it .. may be after they are one I will be able to accept it😊

Just hope they keep the show as simple and subtle after shaadi as it was in PVKM times and keep positivity maintained

Cheers,
Akanksha

Glad to read your experience with this show and how it influenced your life and gave you happiness.

I used to watch ipkknd and had first time came to know about India forums but this time for yudkbh I am really addicted and now even wrote one shots 😆.

Love ashi and randeep as naina and sameer. All the actors have done wonderful job in entertaining us.

Now I am not able to watch any other serials except YUD.

Exactly , those school days were beautifully captured and so realistic...and Ashi and Randeep along with other costars made this show a super duper hit.

As a 90s kids our life was always revolving around our family, friends, school/college, Bollywood songs..we get to watch all in this serial

When I first watched it on TV, It was MtAbu track (when Sameer says he will wear Yellow shirt like Salman MPK)..
Next Sunday I started to watch all episodes from beginning...
I was🤣when Taiji slapped Naina fr asking meaning of song ''aag barasti hai" ,
my husband gave me a look like "pagal ho gayi hai Kya"
till now he feels jealous if I watch this serial when he s at home.

Only time I lost interest was during college track especially when Swati goes against Naina..

I rarely watch serials, this s the only serial I m watching now..

Those days kids discussing such topics were considered to be a huge issue...parents will be blamed for bad upbringing lol...and the way she remembers the incident and holds her cheek is even more hilarious...post marriage I was them to discuss this song ...I did like to see Naina's reaction... 😉

Was a stalker of this forum for 3 to 4 months then I opened an account and my number of posts proves how crazy I am😆YUD's bgm naina's innocence sadiya mam's voice & sameer's hair caught my interest. And I was cleen bowled watching the promo😆

I was shocked to know that boy was randeep. His transformation was brilliant. I couldn't recognize him at first. And ashi! Naina is the suitable name for her. Her eyes! so expressive! Fell in love with her instantly. And for the first time in my life i never got bored for a single epi of this show. And u r right!! I'm feeling like meri baccho ki shadi hai! I'm single but still feeling like this😆

Exactly the point ...there were some episodes which I wasn't very impressed but I was still connected and I give that credit to Ashi and Randeep , it their chemistry ...that kept the viewers glued...the best part about their chemistry is , its intact no matter what the story line is...hats off to them.

What a lovely post...sums up all what I feel too...

I have never been addicted to a show except jassi jasi koi nahi and that was ages back..I had stopped watching Shows as I can't tolerate Saas bahu dramas n over the top make up but the day I saw the first promo I kind of got hooked to it...

It kind of touches our lives as we are 90s kids...the home atmosphere, the sibling love , elders strictness all made me nostalgic. .we too had the same environment at home..

Above all a simple girl falling in love with a brat...both ashi n randeep take this to another level...all the senior actors n other cast are so talented that u want to watch them again n again..

Their journey has been portrayed so well ...feels u are living with them ...
I have never been part of any forum..didn't know it existed also but last year as I was out of india and was unable to access Sony live so while searching for some site to watch the show I chanced upon IF...then kept stalking it for months and now now I'm a part of it...love all the stories by the brilliant writers..

My family knows I'm crazy n no one can disturb me while I watch the show.. I cancel my program if I have to go somewhere...that's the level of my craziness...

Now that both of them are getting married it feels surreal...

Hoping this magic continues for all of us crazy fans..😊😊

I know what you mean...watching them taking the marriage vows would definitely bring tears to my eyes...it feels like my kid is getting married...that's the kind of connect I have with Sameer and Naina.

I used to watch shows before YUDKBH but had a habit of dropping them after a few epis. I am extremely selective about shows and movies because I emotionally invest in them alot. So one day I turned the TV on at 4:30 pm and Sony was the first channel that my TV came live to. And it was a repeat telecast of the first episode.

The voiceover, the narration, the writing, the smallest details and their nuanced executions and especially the innocent 16 year old Naina drew me into the story immediately. And yes since then fans have been complaining about this or that but I can say that while the struggling track is ongoing its difficult to stand by and watch because I am extremely protective of these two kids and their love. But when the tracks resolve themselves everything that we complained about during the struggles start to make sense towards the working of that closure.
This show feels like the first one which portrays the emotions with such depth that you feel each and every small moment with them. For instance, yesterday that small phone call between Sameer and Naina was magnified for me because it portrayed the immense emotions behind this struggle.
Another thing I love is that my parents relive their moments with this show. My mom told me that before their marriage they too had rains and they also went through all this stress. And they also did sunderkaand. She considers it a miracle because sometime during the pooja, the rainstorm ceased.
Yet something I will forever treasure about this show is not just the pure love between the leads rather the portrayal of all kinds of relationships like sisters, friends, family. YUDKBH is not just a story about two people in love, its about growing up, maturing, finding yourself amidst the chaos of family loss and trauma.

Agreed , VO is another highlight of this show..and when got Sameer's VO as well , it had a different feel to it...we got to know both Sameer and Naina's thoughts on the scenes.
