Confused about the title Maheshwari.

So, Sameer's mamaji is a maheshwari, nana is a maheshwari and his dad is also a maheshwari? Is this a loophole/blooper or is it like both family (his mom's and dad's side) are maheshwari? P. S. This new cricket kumar is not so good looking as the og cricket kumar :( neither is a good actor! Doesn't look good with Juhi. I feel like there should've been a proper closure between Arjun and Shefali for Arjun to move on with Juhi.

Sameer papa is Vivek Somani ( Rohan's dad ) and Nanaji and Mama are Maheshwaris together with Sameer.

Mamaji refers to Nanu as kakusa, meaning father's brother. Thus Nanu and Mamji's father were brothers. Thus they're Maheshwari. We are not shown why Sameer's surname is Maheshwari as almost no information regarding his real father is given.
