Wow! Beautiful post! 😊
I think you described the details very well. Also, the environment in which she was brought up in contributes a lot to the way she perceives certain situations and how she responds to them. I have always understood most of her reactions and behavior, barring the suicide attempt at the end of the breakup track. I still can't come to terms with that.
I think she just became very desperate in that moment, but still the way CV's dealt with such a sensitive issue was appalling to me. Because almost immediately, after it was over, everyone was laughing about it, which made me uncomfortable.
I agree that the innocent Naina from PVKM is gone. She is still growing and will continue to learn from the experiences she goes through. She still makes mistakes, but she is becoming more mature at the same time, and is able to see where she went wrong too which is relatable.
Thanks for liking the post.
The idea of suicide also was given by Munna. When Naina thought that all issues are solved and now there is no objection from anyone there she got it from someone whom she least expected. Munna was her classmate from young age onwards. Munna and Pundit understood and supported her very well during the Delhi phase. So when she heard about his objection then she went directly and asked about the reason. Munna gave the list of items to prove her love. Can you fail in exam, can you walk upside down or can you jump from roof. Due to her teenage mind and the eagerness to get her love back to track she choose the fastest one of that list that is jumping from roof. They are 18 and 19 years of age. Not wise enough to think of the results of their actions.
Now about the gang joking about her suicidal attempt and Sameer's baba phase. This is how teenagers talk. They make fun of any serious situation. Sometimes sarcasm will be overflowing in their conversation. This knowledge I got from my own 16 year old son. Sometimes I really felt bad with the way how he talks with his friends. When I ask him the reason for it then his response will be like, mummy why are you talking all these things seriously. This is the way how they interact, especially boys. Then I understood why the gang was joking about those serious serious issues like heart break and suicidal attempt.
