Very good analysis. They have come a long way from their attraction to each other. The betrayal. The trust issues and their separation and the constant support they had been for each other during that time through their words and letter. Long distance relationship is so difficult they could have gone seperate ways that time only but they have survived. It's love between them but as life goes it will be caring sharing and respect for each other. Love is defenitely their but in different forms. They have to face the difficulties that's coming in their life together. I am not the same person I was 10 years back or how I was in school. A lot has changed me. The difficulties and the tough situations have made you a new person now. Life will teach you lessons in its own way.

Absolutely loved this post!

And also, we have to remember that just because these are not the choices we would make.. does not make them completely wrong.

I know many of us are a lil lost at the change in core attributes of Sameer and Naina. We are not able to connect with them. I was thinking why?? And in a real world would it be the same? Actually to some extant I feel it might be the same, reason being that these two are in a transition stage of their life. They are not teenagers nor they can be called as matured adults. They are somewhere in between. While we are in that stage , we make many mistakes as we are very confused of what is been taught to us vs what we learnt and understood from education vs what we want in life. That's what Sameer and Naina is experiencing. They both come from very different cultural background , hence have different understanding about certain aspects of life. Since they are educated they know those orthodox approach in life is not really right or good but somehow they are scared to break free from that. They also have their dreams of togetherness. Now how do they achieve it ??!!

Here I did like to quote a quote By Franz on Metamorphosis. He wrote in his book "I cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself"

I think we needn't feel bad about their behavioral changes, lets see how their experiences in life changes them to what they should be as adults . They will have their set of road blocks , they will have their set of mistakes and they will have their set of victories and failures based on the decision they take in their life. But eventually they will learn to survive and be successful. So, these ups and downs will help them to be strong and powerful individuals.

All I can say just watch and see how people change and handle challenges. Some learn to adapt , some learn to tolerate and some fight it to live it the way they want . It will be interesting to see and understand to which of these groups would Naina and Sameer belong?? Will they fight it to live a life of their choice or would they succumb?? Only time can tell...rather CVs can tell
😉

What I am trying to say is don't hate any character or try to justify too...just watch and understand , how childhood upbringing vs education vs personal dreams changes people in the transition stage of their life.

Lovely post. Yes the whole story is beautiful because of the mistakes these two make because of their age. They have kept it quite real for a tv show, of course they have to add the drama elements here and there. I think the age they are presently in is an age where we probably make maximum mistakes because we are juggling many important decisions which sets the course of our lives, be it our choice in careers or life partners.

I find Sameer's portrayal also very real in the sense there are many emotional youngsters who are not able to see beyond their love and concentrate on their careers and don't know how to balance both. They eventually learn. Will be very interesting to watch Sameer manage both. Here even Naina being a topper had lost her way and failed in school test because of being swayed by her love and being physically being distanced at that time from Sameer. That was also a real life situation. But Naina being academic always bounce back. Here also the difference is their economic status. In most middle class families it is drilled that studies is the way to a good secured life. Whereas Sameer is also laid back because he never had to worry about money. He thinks life is all set. He has the love of his life, wonderful family and nanus business which he will be taught how to manage by his mama. He at this age doesn't have the foresightedness that life never plays as planned and even successful family businesses require constant effort generation after generation.

Sorry for the long post, I also want to add that I like Vishakhas portrayal. If we keep apart what she did to him as a child, she is genuinely concerned for his future. Being a mother of a teenage son myself, I could really identify when she says I want you to concentrate on your studies, there is lifetime for love and marriage. This is such a realistic dialogue that many of us would say or would have heard. Vishakha somewhere also has this baggage of unconscious comparison with Rohan who is academically brilliant and Somanis standards of success and she does not want Sameer to be any lesser. Parents sometimes in their pursuit of excellence forget to believe in their children's abilities which Vishakha is making but it happens with many parents. Also she doesn't live with him. So felt her portrayal is also very real and interesting.

All in all I think the story is unravelling beautifully. Will have to overlook silly dramas that CVs put here and there because of a tv show. Like you said sit back and enjoy.

Lastly, I definitely like all of us want this shoe drama to end. That is a question mark hanging, Will they again show her rishta thing with Samir, even if they do won't that be been there done that, too repetitive. Would really like if CVs don't drag that for more than two episodes.

Once again apologies for the long rant.

Cheers!

Uma

True that. I have lost count of the silly mistakes I have made as a teenager, as a youngster . Now looking back as a 40 + person, I can understand why I did what I did and for many things, the only rationale I can come up with is my lack of maturity at that age.
