Her only mistake is she took decision on her own...she didnt spoke to Sam
Please dont forgot she took this decision because she was not confident about hersef that she will be able to stand for her love...she was shattered because of her fathers action

Yesterday her VO clearly stated she did Sharad tareef because Sam shud listen and think that she has ove on...her intentions are not to make him jealous..but to create hate in Sams mind for her

I agreed. She clearly said she couldn't see broken Sameer when time comes to accept their love in front of family. This is 90's era , things were really different that time.it was reAlly tough to speak up in front of elders speacially like taiji, tauji & rakeshsir kind of characters.
She is not doing anything to make Sameer jealous. She can't .

I share the same feelings which you have put up in beautiful words.

Its now going to be hard for Sameer to trust her again what if she again priotises her family and makes him suffer and leaves him heart broken. She can do it again if she has done it once...they have messed up with Nainas character

I don't know y u guys r against her character ! First of all have never understand the character of her right now thats y saying she is selfish or self centered! ..her breakup with sameer was not a selfish but she doesnt wants to hurt him and secondly do u guys saw her family they have already tagged her as problem, the shits she is listening after wht sam proposal sorry she died internally she is breaking into pieces because the family she knows who loved her have reduced ..when a child get so taunts and torture she needs love n support and plus she is not in the state to think

I do agree with so many of your points here...i have mentioned this on the breakup episode and later the rishta episode also...
Is sameer and his love important only when she realized that she doesn't have anyone to love her...

If there are some good alliances is it easy to join and move on ...

Does anyone fall in love just because they have no one else to love them..

And so many other things...

Personally i feel in their relationship ,its always Naina who had Initiatied or worked their relationship...Be it any track, but it was always her strong will that kept this relationship alive...

So this time the relationship has halted and that's why we feel worse not seeing her back to fight...

She must have to realize that whether good or bad but her family or anyone can never take the place that sameer has in her heart...And Sameer will always above anything...

Hi Guys,

Nice to see so many views.

I knew that the majority support is for Naina and I thank you all for putting forth their views sensibly.

I just saw the episode (with precap) and from the preview, the points I mentioned in my post seem even more clear.

Irrespective Naina likes it or not - In the normal course she is going to marry Sharad. She has accepted the fact.

(So, the small gesture she showed to Sameer on ice cream on the nose is Useless! I mean what the use of that and is there any this really significant to it.)

It just shows that Naina will be in the so-called confused and "Good for Sameer" mode till the day of marriage. What after that?

Of course, Sameer is finding every subtle hint as a signal as he is desperately still hoping that Naina will get back to him shedding the practical stance she has taken.

The precap made the things even more clear - The Would be MIL will get the hint of Sameer & Naina. She will ask Sameer. Naina will be afraid that she and her family name will be tarnished.

But Sameer will again be the most dedicated ex-lover/gentleman lover (which every boy should be) and will give a sound lecture to Naina's would be MIL on the virtues of a daughter and how callous/ludicrous she is being in doubting her future DIL.

Naina will be profoundly indebted to Sameer. She will thank him and again get on "Marrry Sharad" & "Family Mode" and "Good For Sameer Mode". As a girl, she has the absolute freedom to do as she likes.

But, again passing the buck to the greater good for Sameer is dubious and hypocritical. This makes her again an oppressed girl (who cannot raise a voice or even whisper in front of people who are tormenting her) but at the same time keep hurting the emotions of a person who actually cares for her and vulnerable/weak when it comes to her.

It's the age-old human psyche to play with the person who is emotionally dependant on you. Sameer did it in the betting phase but he toiled hard to make it right. And now Naina is doing even a bigger similar thing and there seems to be no redemption or regret for it. She always seems to be in the justification mode - I am right! My Family is Right! Baat Khatam!

I understand the CVS Modus Operandus is to show that in spite of all the proceedings - Sameer does not leave Naina (Even when she left him).

However, the way the things were shown, it seems that Naina can anytime drop the family rocket and then Sameer again has to face the unnecessary drama (a high probability)

In all this, the writers and editors have diluted the character of Naina a lot. It's not wrong to show someone flawed. But here the character of Naina has been changed to complete and utter practical without caring about what she breaks and whom she hurts when it comes to her family. She hopes to be treated with equal importance even after snubbing someone (Sameer), has the inner desire that the other person should not try to do as he wants.

Her nonchalant behavior and response just indicated that Sameer is a passe in many ways.

To complete this track effectively, other than some silly friendship angle, it needs to be shown that Naina is genuinely sorry for her selfish unilateral attitude and is ready to make the efforts to genuinely mend the bridges she has destroyed. She needs to learn that the world does not revolve around the whims of her family and she cannot take Sameer's emotion (or any bodyelse's emotion) for granted and plaything when it comes to her family.

Agree with you SaniaMeera. In reality, she would have married Sharad and in due course would have been happy in her married life. Her practicality would have ensured that. But this is a serial, so here we will see a knight in shining armor (Sameer in bazigar mode😃) who would pursue her notwithstanding his own hurt, show her that he will always be there for her(drinking jhoota etc). For such situations, we have songs like ' kitne bhi tu karle sitam has has ke sahenge hum'!😆 This kind of song is a moral booster for Sameer kind of people. At the end, Naina will have to choose between bad rishta and bazigar Romeo and she will eventually choose bazigar Romeo. And Love will triumph!😊
After marriage, what happens? Priority changes? Well that's another story! 😆

Hi Jsaw,

You are right.

😆 The premise is that the two VO indicate that the leads are together. But, if we start taking everything as per the VO, then there is actually no need to write and analyze anything 😃 in the episodes.

You are right its a soap and I take it nothing more than that. The only point of debate arises when we try to compare how the same scenario would have acted out in the real world.

Thank you for chipping in.

I agree.she is not guilty and her justification of all she does is always right.she is having no self respect in front of her family but had shown loads before sameer.anyways she needs to be guilty or else she will always take Sameer's emotions as granted and sameer always hv to bend even if she is wrong .
