After yesterday's Episode, I am not all feeling in tune with Naina. I could not feel any emotion seeing Naina elegantly dressing up for Sharad and co and practically going through the events.
She always seems to be in dilemma (because she apparently loves Sameer!) but that is not strong enough for her not to snub Sameer.
The Naina Character I fell in love with has become so cold and practical - completely cutting off the person who she loves with all her soul (maybe !!) and that person Sameer also loves her like anything (which Naina knows!)
Still, the presentation of Naina's character does not express anything other than hard and cold practicality with a heavy does of ME!. She is just willingly doing everything she is doing. (I say willingly as I am done with justifying that Naina is in turmoil doing what she is doing).
She just appears to be the person thinking about her family, their image and her image. (I do not say that is wrong to do so).
But then stop glorifying yourself that you are doing this for the greater good of Sameer. At the same time, expressing that you want Sameer to remain a desperate lover. You still feel jealous and at the same time, you keep hoping that Sharad will be an understanding life partner. Whoa! That's a complete puzzle to me! Naina appears to be so complicated and centered on herself only.
The understanding I had for Naina is now turning in to confusion and irritation.
At the cost of making Sameer feel utter desperate, she is not only praising her would be but in a way playing some deep level of mind games.
Please do not get angry with me for saying the above lines.
What Naina is doing and how she is doing is appearing utter selfish and cold. Considering the present approach of Naina, it seems, even if she marries Sameer, then also her Family psychology will continue and she will keep expecting Sameer to understand her and her family. As if it's only a one-way traffic! Her stance would be like - Understand my family or else be ready for mind games!
Its like being shown that Naina is so STRONG (to be able to sacrifice and kick Sameer out) and Sameer is appearing to me more and more Desperate (I say desperate because it is being made to show that Sameer is not able to accept the fact that Naina has indeed shown him a cold finger whether she herself likes it or not)
(Irrespective of the gender, I would not like anyone to adopt the approach of Naina)
In the end, Naina seems to be doing all she can to do what she inherently feels is right and obliged to do (irrespective of who gets hurt in the process - Herself or Sameer).
Sameer being hurt and desperate is something she can live with. (In fact, she seems to be hoping to see Sameer to be desperate for her while she keeps snubbing him and at the same time Sharad talking about honeymoon with her!)
In that way, Sameer would never have any chance of being the 1st Priority for Naina (even if they are married to each other)
If all these antiques are being shown to represent how Naina rises over her family fear, or realises the true worth of Sameer, then I am not finding it convincing.
What is a strong enough reason for Naina to finally disrupt what she is doing? Is it Sameers love or again it will be because Sharad insults her so-called righteous family - which again proves that Sameer is still somewhere below on the priority list.
Or another strong reason for Naina might be Sharad turns out to be a bad person? Then it again becomes a love of convenience. As Sharad is Bad and not what Preeti/Naina expected - then its again mission - Get back to Sameer! What if Sharad is a genuinely good guy? Would Naina be fine with doing happy laps around him eventually?
Why do I sense complete Opportunistic approach by Naina? (under the justification of family name and Sameer's greater good)
In a real-life scenario, this is the perfect example of one person being cold and practical (doing what he/she feels is the greater good as per their Ego) and the other person being idiotic and fool enough to keep trying to make the Cold Practical person happy at the cost of his/her dignity or happiness.
I am just expressing my thoughts on the character of Naina only in accordance with the ongoing track of the show. I assume that my views may be contrary to the popular view of supporting Naina in this track. My intentions are not to hurt or disregard anyone's opinion but to state my thoughts.
I would love to hear out the opinions of the forum members in regard to my post.
Do you feel similar to what I expressed in my lines?
