Ouch...this is a sensitive topic...and each one has a different way of showing or confessing their Love. 😳 😆

Here two completely different personalities with different backgrounds but opposite in their character.
Arjun shown as a timid person 😕 always been overpowered by his Dad...who takes all the decisions in his life...from his cricketing career to what he must concentrate on in life...Arjun always lacks confidence. But he is living in a Joint family surrounded by his loving Sisters and many Women. But he is attracted to completely opposite Shefali who was quite bold for those times but here what irks me is that Arjun seems to be more attracted to her body...is not aware about periods and stuff but that is ok since the women of the house do not go about telling it to everyone...but the physical attraction is surprising 😲

On the other hand Sameer who has been all alone since his childhood...hardly has been surrounded by Women...but even before and after meeting Naina never was attracted to her body...it has been always pure and genuine love and care that he has for Naina. Never has the thought of even holding her hand has come to his mind.

Well that is how their characters have been written. But in reality too we can see such men..some go after looks and body and some after pure love. 😕

Sameer was in hostel might have seen bold girls with short dresses but many of them might have been showing off...he was deprived for pure love and care..hence he is attracted towards the pur soul

Probably that's what CVs are trying to convey as well with showing this story in parallel. Nice point and post!

This makes so much sense. There is always a reason for the way a person behaves or react in a situation. It all depends upon what they have experienced in life.

Nice topic to discuss..the differences in arjun and sameer has always been highlighted...from the time the wrote the exam in school...already then you could see how calm and composed sameer was and arjun despite of knowing the exam paper on beforehand...he was stressed out becuase he coudn't take the pressure...

Another thing..arjun had the strike of being judgmental...which has been planted in him in the form of whats right and whats wrong..
While sameer never really judges naina atleast until she complained about him...

For sameer..outer beauty he has seen alot..matlab ladkiyan khud ko literally phekti hain uss pe...lekin naina jaisi nahi..jo sirf pyaar karna janti hai..gehra pyaar...that is why..no one can love naina the way sameer does..he loves her pure heart..which only neatrs for him
Yes its true that initially naina was attracted by his looks..but slowly she did het to understand that he is good at heart as well...

I always felt it was moore about physical attraction between shefjun..we never really got to know the depth of their emotions.. and I feel the makers wanted to keep it that way because the offscreen drama happened after those scenes...
Even now they are taking it in jet speed so that they can wind it up...

I really hope now naina having periods will show the difference in how both arjun and sameer will handle the situation...sameer knows moore about these girly things...he knew that wax is what is needed to remove hair from arms and legs...I hope they make sameer to get to know about nainas woh din

Loved the topic n the answers here...Jus today morning i was bragging to my frend...that I can only see lust in arjuns love...n nothing deep or emotional...cos the intensity of Shefjuns love was merely attraction...i wont call it as true love!!...Cmng to the differences...its very natural n true in mny ways...How much u restrict or forbid the kids especially the ones who are bought in a tight n rigid environment...the curiousity factor peeks in...not educating them n let it be on by themselves rather than imposing rules n regulations...can yield the opposite scenario...in arjuns case...he was always sheltered,pressurised...generally dictated as a robot...but not much aware the whims n fancies of his heart. even befriending frends, dictating dos n donts was the major adressal of his life...For him Shefali was like a new bold chapter...n first in his life...a different xperience! So yes his attraction was equated to him being in love but not in real sense...A guy who hasnt been xposed to gals ...even befriending was a big thing in his circle ..so jus think how his mindset will be when ur let to let to breathe freely ...Tats how Arjun feel when wit Shefali..!!

Sam is altogether ..a different scenario..a complete opposite to Arjuns case!!..For him Mny gals had given him the attention n he has befriended a lot...Can see through many of them what they wantex from him... but what his heart craved was something deep n personal where his life was DEVOID of ..that is love!!

Lovely post ..
I totally agree with you all
Shefjun love never had that depth like samaina
Samaina are taking so much time to explore smallest of things in their relationship ... After being together for so many days handhold have now become common for both ..
The physical aspect in their love will be a slow but gradual process ..
" dheere dheere pyar ko badhrayge ..."
And shefjun directly " had se guzar jaenge "

A very good topic. Thanks for raising it.
I agree with all the replies here.
Only physical attraction is shown between Arjun and Shefali. I think at first makers want to proceed their story also in slow pace. All the off screen dramas may have happened after the marriage sequence. Because after that ShefJun's scenes has been drastically reduced. When they started their second innings shooting most of the scenes are between them only. Very rarely you can see a scene with other casts. I think the makers just want to wrap up their scenes as audience are not comfortable in seeing some other actor as Arjun and Shefali.
I don't want to criticize the actors but romance and humor is not Somy's Cup of tea. His acting was very good as a child who is getting pressurized by parents and as a loving and caring brother. But when he started showing romance and a bit of humor it was really pathetic. They need at least 5 minutes of actions to show atleast 5% intensity of emotions that Samaina can show in 5 seconds of eyelock.

I don't know but somehow I feel it is also the way the scenes have been directed and not entirely the acting of shefjun. The scenes do not have any connections with the other scenes and seems to pop from no where. This also makes it difficult to connect with them.
