Vandy I agree with each points well said.. Here my fear is that CV in verge of showing Sam in bad light should not ruin his character to that level that redemption becomes impossible. Eve teasing may be Sam is not doing but even being with the company you become equally responsible. Sam has never been portrayed where he never honored women. This one thing is not going in my throat but I will still wait for few more episodes and see if CV makes him come. Else I am Ok with him seeing po*n, magazines, smoking drinking and playing cards. Even I was avid card player but yes with my family and friends not as gambling
My only fear Sam shown stooping very low... I hope CV change its route now.

C.v's are showing sameer as realistic and not a filmy hero...yes he is doing mistakes...he needs to be corrected and brought back to his senses ...
All this is bcoz of his company ...the only friends gang he found ever since he came to Delhi or should I say the only people with whom he can talk to ...
Some one needs to wake him up and ask what the hell are you doing ...he will be embarrassed himself to face mundit and naina.

Yes daksha... Sameer needs company...Which he is not getting...
U can't expect a teenager to understand the difference between right and wrong...

Also...those of u who are saying that he could go back to writing poetries...Sam is not a loner by nature...

Earlier also...He did masti with munna and pandit...But wrote poetries too... Its his nature... Writing poetries the whole day is not something that goes with Sam's nature

Sveta... Regarding the eve teasing thing...
I said it to u earlier...It won't hit sam till the point naina gets a taste of it and he realizes that being a mute spectator is bad too...

First of all, would you please define feminism for all of us feminists out here?
I read your comment that if someone would ever eve tease you, you will slap him back hard. I was physically abused when I was a child, when I didn't even know what a physical touch means? So how was I supposed to slap that guy? I was so horrified that I spent years but never even shook hands with a boy and finally when I started coming out of the incident, I was eve teased again which brought back all bitter memories and I got scared again. Finally when I was touched again inappropriately, I slapped the guy. But it took Me many years to climb that ladder all because I was abused as a child which shook me to the core and I could not get out of it. So does not being able to slap someone makes my pain less?

Regarding your comments on smoking, drinking, watching po*n; who said all these things define a person's character? Everyone in my family drinks. My friends drink, even I have tried it. So I very well know that drinking, smoking habits can be changed.
We are not so hyped up because Sam is shown drinking, smoking and watching nude pics of girls. Magazine was never an issue for us. We know how teenager boys behave and even grown up men also. Our posts don't mean we are judging him on all this.

We are amused because Sam is silent on eve teasing. I dont know how did you say it so easily that Sam is in a bad company , he has no guidance and he will correct it someday when he gets a jhatka. My question is why does he need a jhatka of Naina being eve teased to wake up from his deep sleep?
Btw,he might change in the future but how does that justify his act? Yes, his VO explains that he is indeed guilty of his actions. But sorry for girls like us who have been facing eve teasing since their childhood, we can not stand a guy whom we adored and loved to see him support it.

And yes I have been through the exact same situation. I found out that my boyfriend was involved in eve teasing. Not exactly eve teasing but he was always with his friends when they teased girls. Nobody knows how I felt when I got to know of it. It hurts a lot. Yaha pe to show me dikha denge sameer changed and naina accepted him but I couldn't accept a guy involved in such a bad act.

Aur haanji haan hum bhi ldke dekhte hain but sorry hum unka peeche nahi krte, unke upar gande comments pass nhi krte, unke chaaro taraf apni activas nahi ghumate. Eve teasing is a very different thing. Dont mix up two things here.

We 'feminists' have always been ardent supporters of sameer not because he was perfect, rather because he was real, a boy with flaws with whom we could relate to. But seeing the same guy whom we have loved watching on screen, befriending people who take pride in eve teasing hurt us all. So if you think we are being negative against sameer, yes we are. Because we have been through worse and we would have loved to see sameer stand against it.

Hme sameer se nahi, sameer ki ek baat see dikkat hai jo mjhe nahi lagta unreasonable hai.

And sorry if my comment sounded rude but it is not always about feminism👍🏼

thanks for the post... and that shows a different perspective however eve teasing is not okay... drinking, smoking, po*n, gambling they r all okay... i for sure dont judge people on that...

but what do u actually know about eve teasing? do u think its okay to touch other women without her consent? that is what his friends did in the first place... agreed he wasnt part of it agreed he said sorry agreed he tried to stop them... but wen the gals brother said if sorry works if something happened to his own family member then why beat them? or why stop them from beatiing those guys who did eve tease the gal and like he doesnt like it happening to his family member same the other person wud also not like... so let them fight.

regarding retaliating or slapping back - pls go through stories of Asifa who was 8, the nun of around 70+ years - do you think they were in a age where they cud hv stopped anything from happening to them? just read through the brutality of what they went through... and i request pls read it...

and like u have said CVs have shown what Sam was always doing... so he was always respectful towards women. so why a U turn there? and i as an ardent fan here expected CV to keep that very quality intact in the flawed yet lovable characters that they themselves created...

they have taken many creative liberties... so wen out n out the country and even all over the world, the problem of eve teasing is rampant why not show that their very much real life character stick to that quality which he has inherent in him?

and somewhere it was mentioned that did he see those magazines? so we see cigarattes, beer bottles, cards but only for the magazines we shud think that he dint see them. why? well even if he saw that i dont hv any problem with that either...

Yup sure... Can Define feminism for u...But I have doubts if u will understand...

As far as being physically abused as a child is concerned...90% of children are abused as a child...All of us are...And mostly by people known to us...So do not mix child abuse with eve teasing...They are two very different issues...

U urself are saying u did not know what to do wen u were abused as a child...But as u grew up u stood up for urself...

Then y are u judging sameer in a different parameter?
I said clearly...He has a conscience clouded by his need to be accepted...For gods sake...He is a 17 yr old teenager who is still reeling with the burdens of growing up without parental protection...Just because he fell in love does not mean he's mature enough too...

Firstly u need to understand that the show is set in the 90s...Eve teasing was a kind of style statement for many...Go and watch the movies of those days...U urself will understand...Infact srk himself did the same things in deewana...So sameer getting inspired or being a party to such acts is nothing new for those times...

He himself feels he was wrong...U can't label a person as a bad charactered person for mistakes which a person is ready to rectify...U are not giving that chance to sameer...

U can't accept such a boy...Its ur problem... Naina's love is nit judgemental...She can see thru wat sameer is...

You know wen u love a person... U love them unconditionally...A love which can't withstand a storm can't be called love

And I'm glad...Naina is not like u

you know what I am not mixing up abuse and eve teasing. I just said that because I was abused I was disturbed that I could not sum up the courage to slap a guy when I was eve teased as a young girl.

And Missy, if you dont know what have I gone through you have no bloody right to say things about me. I just pointed out one thing about my ex so that you could understand the gravity of the situation but you are replying with a comment like this. Without knowing anything about a person's life, without knowing what a person has gone through, without knowing how did he/she came out of a horrible situation, don't ever comment on it.

so people who do any wrong but u shud love them unconditionally??? so whatever they do u shud love them? tolerate all but love them? thats how love is for u?

U know Vandy even the very person who created Naina i.e., Shashi Mittal said that no matter what she wud hv never accepted Sameer if he had placed the bet no matter how much redemption done... so even the makers cant b Naina...and for that I m glad Aasiha is not Naina and i wud never want anyone to be Naina
