Firstly tell me one thing that sameer is doing that he has not done in the past

He was shown smoking...He used to smoke in the past too and gave up smoking at his own will...Naina never asked him to... She fell in love with a guy who used to smoke...And he gave it up for her even wen he was not in love with her (Mount abu phase...Naina asks for a lighter from sameer...He says he has stopped keeping one...Clearly indicating that naina had no idea of him giving up smoking till then )

He was shown drinking... He was shown experimenting with drinking in the past too.(in mount abu)... How do we know samundit did not sneak from nanu's bottle again ??

Those po*n magazines...Come on...Most of us who have brothers at home know that all boys go thru those kind of magazines ...If not everyday atleast once in their lives...Its their way of growing up...They will see those kinds of photos...And watch po*n too...It doesn't make them a bad person... Its the way boys are...Nobody is so called doodh ka dhula... So please stop judging sameer on that basis...

Now...Eve teasing and playing cards...

Yes these 2 things are wrong...The kind of company in which he's playing cards is wrong...Esp coz it involves money... But then this is a habit that can be overcome with proper guidance and distraction from the habit...

And that huge hue and cry about eve teasing... The very first day that happened...Older sameer's VO clearly mentioned that he never considered it right...But the fact that he was not objecting to it openly made him a bigger accomplice... So it's not that sam is not understanding between right and wrong...Its just that hus understanding is clouded by his need to be with ppl... Ppl who want him...

Guys...Stop judging him like that...He's just going thru wat all teenagers go thru...The only difference is the company which he's keeping is wrong...Coz nobody is there to tell him that it is...Once somebody points it out to him... He will be back to being naina ka sameer...

But before being happy about sameer going back to being naina ka sameer...Tell me one thing... Don't we have boyfriend's and husband's who smoke or drink ?

Haven't we ogggled at guys?

Ummm seen adult magazines ? Or maybe watched po*n too??? Does it make us bad ??

I feel we are judging sameer on fictional parameters...The CVS are showing him as realistic as a guy of his age can be... We finally have a lead... Who is relateable...

I will just copy my reply here which I posted in another thread that Sameer doesn't deserve Naina.

Why he doesn't deserve her?

Just because we saw him with those magazines and on bike with those boys who were Eve teasing.

But for once have you seen him doing that?

No ,first time he completely opposed them,I know now he is just being mute spectator of teasing which is bad. I am myself not able to digest this fact how can he keep quiet about it?

Sameer is not like this,he never was. He always respected girls no matter what.

Whatever he is doing now I know it's bad but for one thing I am glad that he himself is not teasing those girls.

About magazines,can you please clarify is it really bad to read those magazines?

Then what about mature men who watch adult movies,does it mean they don't love their wives?

One thing is sure men will be men we can't change that.

Despite all these things how they behave with women that matters the most.

I have seen some of my male friends also did those things when they were in their adolescence years,

but now if you see them you will not even believe that they did those things.

Basically it's a part of growing process,you make mistakes,you learn from those and take a better hold of your life that matters the most in the end.

Today I can proudly say that they are my friends whom I love and respect which they also have for me.

As for Sameer he is also in his adolescence years going through emotional,physical and hormonal changes and boys do have these kind of curiosity when it comes to opposite gender.

Why only boys we girls also have this curiosity right?

Remember when Pooja came back how Naina and Preeti asked her about first night?

It's natural for all.

Just by those magazines and being with those boys doesn't define his character.

He is much more than that it's just right now he is blinded by all those things which he thinks it's cool but it's not. I do want him to repent big time,he totally deserves that but you can't say that he doesn't deserve Naina,he loves her so much that's the reason he is not sharing his pain and sufferings with her.

If you look from earlier time he is like that ,he never shared his problems with anyone,he just keeps everything in him and that's his biggest problem. Now Nanu is also not there to guide him ,no friends,no Naina no wonder he is falling in pits.

But if you really ask me I don't want Naina to guide him this time,she can be his support system through letters and phone calls. I want Vishakha to take rein of his life in her hands and guide him through this bad phase of his life I don't even mind if Somani also joins her. Poor kid desperately needs help. This is the high time for Vishakha to take that responsibility of being a parent and set him straight by hook or by crook. So she can fulfill the promise she made to Nanu and make him Sameer Jaiprakash Maheshwari,the way her father wanted.

I agree with you on this. I have problem only with he being a mute observer of eve teasing given his character so far and forgetting rose plant which was symbolic of his love for Naina.

Sudden this whole feminist angle to the whole even teasing thing...

If I'm eve teased...I'll turn back and slap that person...Next time he will think twice before passing a comment... And yes...I've done that in the past...

I'm not supporting sam...Its just that he will realise his mistake...He will learn it the harder way...And I'm sure naina will get eve teased...The realisation will draw on him from that point...But ppl need to give the CVS time...

See samundit did toggle at girls...They were shown checking out kamya in mount abu...

I'm saying it again... The company in which sameer is wrong...And he will come out of it... Sameer always liked ppl flattering him...And these guys are doing just the same...They went ga ga over his bike stunt...Suggested him to go to bombay to become a hero...They are doing things which he likes...Give him attention...Flatter him...He is in such a phase where he needs to learn to distinguish between good and bad people...And he will do so...We just need to be patient

Vandy you just hammered home with all the points. I must congratulate you for this post. You said everything which even I felt while watching the show. And moreover the bizzare part is that some people are drawing parallels with naina's character. Don t we all know that naina and sameer are two diagonally opposite people, so their way of handling a situation is gonna be completely different from the other. I couldn't agree with the eve teasing part too. The fact that he is a mute spectator in all of it was disheartening and playing cards was a downer again but not the rest.

U rem his VO ? He immediately compared the thing to naina...Which means he knows how bad eve teasing is...But...His conscience is getting clouded by his need to be aaccepted...Loneliness is something that can destroy human beings...

These days we call it depression...Rather than going into depression...Sameer is trying to stay afloat...

About that rose plant...I read somewhere that u give what u get to others... Naina is getting love and appreciation from sameer and her family...So she gives it back to the plant...

Sameer on the other hand is frustrated... His VO saud that the interactions which he was having with naina were not enough...He needed more of her...Which he was not getting...

The plants are symbolic of that... Naina being a motherless child had learnt to be satisfied with whatever little she got from life... Sameer on the other hand was used to being getting everything that he wanted...In this case... He was not getting..

Much needed post vandy.

C.v's are showing sameer as realistic and not a filmy hero...yes he is doing mistakes...he needs to be corrected and brought back to his senses ...

All this is bcoz of his company ...the only friends gang he found ever since he came to Delhi or should I say the only people with whom he can talk to ...

Some one needs to wake him up and ask what the hell are you doing ...he will be embarrassed himself to face mundit and naina.

Yes you are right about whole feminist angle not just that but even comparisons also started.

Same here I also suffered Eve teasing all through my college life , first two years I tolerated but in senior college I nicely fought back, i used to hit guys.

Eve teasing is so bad why can't boys understand it's so humiliating for us.

I really hope Sameer understands this issue and he stands upto them and yes he is not bad just surrounded in bad company.

Hope he comes out of it soon before it's too late and I do want him to learn his lesson the hard way.

I was surprised at the sudden rise of feminist atmas in the forum...😆

Naina's upbringing is different as I pointed out in my other reply...No matter how much love she has got from chachi ji and chachaji she herself confessed that she felt the void of a mother in her life...And sadly rakesh did nothing to make her life easier... Hence she finds happiness in whatever little she gets from life...Though she yearns for more...Those 1 or 2 min talks with sameer are enough for her to keep going...Whereas sameer has been brought up differently...He turns rebellious when he is frustrated...And that's exactly wat he is doing right now...

Another thing which everyone is forgetting is that the show is set in 90s era...U did not have these sports coaching classes...or extra curricular activity for kids...U were either studying or spending time with ur siblings...And that's wat sam is not getting here... He was never the type to sit with books...And there is nobody of his age in delhi with whom be can share things...
