I think that there isn't personal hatred towards Sameer. You see he had his own son disciplined and living to a schedule. I think that they will come to a mutual base. As for Vishaka, I feel as if she is trying to be a perfect wife. She hasn't given up on Sameer, it's just she doesn't want problems in her marriage.

I agree.. sometimes we judge other characters based on how they behave with our favorite leads. But that doesn't mean they are bad people. Somani is normal person who doesn't like sameer for the way he is. We shouldn't forget that sameer was egoistic, rude and kind of spoilt brat. That same sameer put a bet on naina. He was not good in studies, he talked quite rudely to Somani n his mom earlier. So his step
Dad has very bad image of sameer and thy never lived together to know each other better. On other hand Rohan is very studious, even good in sports( he is head boy) and it seems he is good respectful to elders.

I wouldn't say Somanis are bad people , they are normal people. That is the beauty of this show.

I think dadi is indeed scheming.
somani, lets remember, called up the principal anonymously about the leaked papers

vishakha doesnt want problems in her marriage so she chose to distance herself from sameer instead of standing by him. she is a mom who chose her marriage over her small son. and that is why she is free with rohan, because she knows she has put in more than her best with him. but she is not free with sameer, because she knows she has deprived him and been unfair to him. so she has that guilt which makes her try and blame him for everything.

Honestly, I don't find Somani as shocking as Vishakha. Like others have mentioned, nearly every time Somani has met Sameer it's for something bad - exam papers, fighting at Mt Abu etc - he really doesn't have a good impression of the boy. Rohan is obviously living life down to the minute so it's not like he lets his son roam around anyhow either. When Sameer wasn't eating, it was his idea to call Munna Pandit over and it was also his idea to bring Sameer to his house, even though it's clear he isn't too happy about it. He shouldn't be so hard on Sam now but his point of view, he feels nanaji has spoiled Sameer. Of course nanaji did that because he's a kind soul, someone very unlike 90s parents...and honestly speaking, is Somani really as bad as Rakesh? Naina is topper like Rohan and yet Rakesh is such a horrible dad...
if anything, Vishakha is to blame here. If she wanted to, she could have chosen to live as a single mom to Sameer and nanaji was rich enough to support her and nobody would dare to say anything about it...but she clearly decided to take on a new life and dump her son onto her own dad. When she looks at Rohan sleeping in the bed or going to school, how does she not remember Sameer? Even if she wasn't happy with his grades etc, she should still call nanaji for updates on her son...Sameer might remenber his mother but she had clearly forgotten him...
