Hi Nivi... we all survived the toughest episode till date. Loved what you have written. đđź Ironically today belonged to Nanu... GOODBYE NANU!
I think by far Nanu is the best character of this show... next to Sameer...what a personality! đ
Nanu was a positive person...with a zeal for life...
was a forward thinker...who never shied away from doing what's right even if it meant breaking society norms
was a thorough gentleman... never a harsh word out of him, yet well respected in the society
was extremely rich, self made ... yet never proud of all that wealth, he always remained true to his humble roots (so many times he told Sameer he started with Rs. 20 in his pocket)
was an emotional man, yet never let emotions get the better of him, was always practical in his approach...
never raised his voice unless it was the last straw... yet made sure everyone in the room listened to him and followed him...
And just like he told Sameer, he was a grand-father, mother, friend, philosopher, guide, teacher, all rolled into one for Sameer...and he taught Sameer well. Because the Sameer today is a junior replica of this wonderful man...
GOODBYE NANU! You and your gentle, intelligent and endearing ways will me missed...
Welcome Sameer Jaiprakash Maheshwari! One day you will prove to be a worthy successor to this great man...this in a nutshell was what this track was all about...
It was not just for Sameer to mature some more... because Sameer had already matured with all that he experienced during the redemption track, Nanu himself had acknowledged that... Sameer had also found his soulmate, one that Nanu was proud of as well... so his life ahead was mapped out, with Nanu's blessings... he was now mentally ready to take on the responsibility of the business and Naina, but somewhere he still hesitated to embark on that journey... he wanted to remain a kid for some more time. And Nanu understood and was willing to give him that time... but Destiny had other plans for Sameer...
Nanu had to go for Sameer Jaiprakash Maheshwari to be born... as simple as that!
If Nanu was alive, there would be no successor as yet, no pressure for Sameer to be the Waris... to be the son this man wanted him to be. Because Nanu believed in his capabilities... he had seen something in this young man that went beyond getting marks in school... i think in Sameer Nanu saw his younger self, what he was all those years ago... a bright eyed youngster full of life, who had big dreams of making it big, who had the drive to work hard towards his goal... In the redemption phase Nanu saw all this from Sameer and then some... that's why he was so proud to proclaim Sameer's greatness to Vishaka on the phone...đ
As Nanu said, these few years since Vishaka's remarriage that he spent with Sameer he has lived many roles... and so has Sameer... As Nanu said, Sameer often asked why he was not born as his son... and today Nanu finally made him that... his son, his successor...now it was time for Sameer to accept his greatest role, one he was born to be... and none other than his role model could give him ... Nanu always fulfilled every one of Sameer's wishes... and in a twisted way he fulfilled this with of being his son too... also by doing this proclamation in front of everyone Nanu has now placed Sameer on par with Vishaka... hope i'm making sense? That;s how much faith he has n Sameer's abilities.
Well, as sad as it is to see this much loved character go... and as much as we feel that there could've been other ways to achieve this... let's accept the CVs vision for what it is... in the end its their story to tell.
Nivi... to the question you raised... my guess is that Vishaka re-married about 6-7 years, max 10 years back... maybe Sameer was about 7-10 years old then. I remember Nanu trying to explain once to her that her marriage has hit him hard... emotionally. All he needed was love and care, and attention to help him overcome that. Instead Vishaka (and Somani) always put him in hostels, and maybe holidays were with Nanu... I don't think he ever went to Delhi...
Initially Nanu must've thought this would give time for Vishaka to settle down, but as time went by he realized that this was a convenient for both of them to lessen their work... if you remember in the earliest episodes Vishaka was all about Rohan this, Rohan that... Even Nanu didn't like it one bit...So I think with the passage of time it became easier for Vishaka to just ignore Sameer's existence, she almost forgot how to be a mother to Sameer...
This is exactly what Nanu sternly told her and Somani today... even if they want to ignore his presence, Sameer was very much Vishaka's son and he deserved to get the same love and affection that she is bestowing on her other two children. Well said Nanu!đđđ And I'm glad Somani heard it... what a slap to both of them to remind them they have been ignoring their duties... a gentle yet firm reminder that Sameer was not a villain in their life that Somani makes out to be at every given opportunity... rather whether he liked it or not, fact was he had married a woman who was a mother and that child also deserved to be treated as such... Whether Somani liked it or not, from now on Sameer belonged with Vishaka... what a parting gift Nanu! Hats off to you! đđđ
Only both of them are going to be surprised at the gentleman Sameer has become... this rather rare gem of a person with a large heart... one who is sensitive, observant and intelligent... a poet... and one who has the capability to achieve all the dreams that Nanu has seen for him... I for one, am waiting to see this journey of discovery for all of them...
The village scenes were good by itself, but I didn't want to see so many of them today... I liked how Naina was trying her best to enjoy herself, yet her mind kept drifting back to Sameer... and that moment when Nanu blessed Sameer and bound the two together for life, she felt it. She felt as if Nanu was calling out to her... we will see more of that next week...
I'm glad Nanu mentioned Naina to him... as if telling him she's your other goal, my second wish that you need to fulfill... and blesses him for that too... so now nothing is going to keep them from reuniting at the appropriate time, and that time in marriage... also notice how that village lady blessed Naina at the same time...
Performance wise everyone was good... Kiran Kumar and Randeep excelled! Randeep, especially has improved tremendously since Mt. Abu and its a treat to see him ace tough emotionally draining scenes now... his fun scenes were good from the start and with the last track he had vastly improved in the romance department as well... and now this. đ That last part where he cries, then smiles through tears on Nanu's request, to that final shocked, stunned look at Nanu's still figure, he did it all with ease...
