Okay, I have a lot of DT fans as friends. So just putting it out there that I'm not bashing. So don't misconstrue the comment. Just want to give an update on the LC since everyone is going based on what's said. This is not word to word, but from memory. Based on what I remember and my perception. So don't come at me with pitch forks (saying to those who love to SS and share on other social media). Now that it's clear. Let's go.
- DT said that her dates were blocked for November December for the webshoot of CLACM which was probably why the YHM team didn't contact her. (I'm guessing she meant that she had no YHM CLACM work in this time period but that's my understanding.)
- She said when January came around, her staff wanted her to work / take up work. (I'm guessing because she had no work for the past two months). So she picked up Voice.
- But as she picked up Voice; CLACM and YHM started shoot. So it became a mess of sorts.
- She indirectly answered about the party thing by saying that she's never the kind of person to attend a lot of parties. She prefers keeping to herself and maybe she's selfish in that way. Because while people keep a lot of company and friends, she keeps a few and her family close.
- Also she said that she's trying to keep up her YHM commitments. She said that her stories today were a glimpse into her work life because her costars and rumors have been going around that she doesn't work. And other talks affecting her professionalism.
- She said she came way before her call time and did 22/40 scenes for YHM which wasn't scheduled for the day. But she started her day super early as a way to compensate (in a way to say YHM means alot to her).
- She said co stars and other people were spreading rumors (could be: talking, b-tching) about how she doesn't like working for YHM anymore and how she's not scene. She said that these people just speculate and don't know what's going on in their lives. (In a way, that we don't know what's really going on in each other's lives.) So they just make up/ assume to fill in the dots to be the closest that makes sense to them.
- She also hinted that this reminds her of her BMTD times by bringing up how similar things were during that time. She said that during that time, the higher staff and production people needed someone to blame on so she became the soft target. (I'm guessing in a way she's trying to say that the case is similar now, but that's just my opinion.)
- She said that like the BMTD time, she has decided that her work should speak for her. (She seems to have given up fighting in a way. Or unsure if it will sort out. But I truly hope it does.)
- She said she can't help what people say / do. Unlike what DT in earlier years (I've been following her on and off since 2013) about a lot of things. DT said that it doesn't matter to her anymore what people say because if they like her, they do. If they don't like her, then she'll be the same so nothing can be helped there.
- She spoke about the Bhopal lake drying and how she'll always be MP ki ladki. And her packing and how that needs to be done per schedule. But that's irrelevant per this conversation.
Opinion on the LC and saga: I feel that this is a whole behind the scene mess that DT has become the face of. Doesn't necessarily mean that she is the one causing it. I don't know how dates work and haven't been following any of this. And I'm basically back here since I'm on a break. But it just seems like the whole dates sharing between YHM and CLACM were a mess since CLACM got delayed. And as per my understanding, YHM had a schedule planned without DT and went as per that without accounting for CLACM delay. DT didn't have work YHM CLACM wise for two months Nov Dec (idk what she did then, tbh, I'm not really a social media junkie so no updates from me). Then Voice happened and the whole scheduling is a mess. I didn't follow the cost cutting fiasco too. So if someone could make sense of that, that would be nice. But basically YHM off screen is a mess. Not because of DT. She seems to be facing the backlash though.
Also, I'm guessing there's something going offscreen which we don't know about. But my guess is that CLACM mess is due to Ekta and web series team hoping it be the next big thing since Rajeev - DT pairing. I've watched two Alt webseries. And I honestly have no idea what the hullabo is about. I don't think any web series was as hyped or had so much drama as this one. But then as I said, I don't follow TV industry drama. I watched Broken but Beautiful. And my understanding is that web series are shot on location without sets. Like kdramas. Only in the case here, they haven't figured their schedule and it's a mess. CLACM has one big face - DT - who is also the face of YHM. I don't think Rajeev is working on anything atm other than CLACM. So it makes no sense for Balaji to sabotage YHM or entertain blame game on DT about dates and such because she isn't the deciding factor about how she works. As an actor, she hopes she gets work.
As a neutral viewer, I don't see anything other than YHM working for YHM cast. So their fate after YHM seems unknown. And it's much worse for DT because CLACM, though is sure to be a hit, is more like testing waters for her after YHM.
She seems under a lot of stress, saying this because before life started and she realised she was live, she seemed troubled. And even during live she seemed unsure. And I've, in all these years, expected DT to fight back. I just hope everything works out for everyone in the end. And the show ends on a nice note, if not a happy one. I wouldn't want anyone or even DT to go through the post TMTD thing again. Esp now that she's so high up the ladder. And in the entertainment industry, success is fleeting. You're a hit today and can fall harder tomorrow.
On the co-star note, I get it if old gen co-stars had a problem. If newer gen did, I don't see the point. Because if they're saying this about DT, they would be about KP (since its being said he's using BD too). New gen had to handed to them on a platter. Old gen, KP-DT, Ruhi slogged their butt of to make the show what it is today. So I don't get how new gen can even think about dissing them. No matter what they're upto. The show wouldn't be here without them. Not this sucessful. And not a launching platform it is now. As Casket pointed, costars were also there to give interviews about VD-DT way before she was sure / comfortable about sharing it. And the mess that followed we all know about. I just hope this sorts out. DT seems upset about the whole debacle. I'm guessing this is something her PR/management team can't fix.
