Really u have no respect ..

What the hell type person are you. You famous or not, no body has a right to stalk or violate your way of lifel according to other wish..

Wow..mod don't feel this post offensive..

There is no disrespect here. I shared the news with the proverb by seeing the funny side of being the aptness of it. I don't get pleasure seeing or reading such things. But I also believe as the proverb aptly states, "as you sow, so shall you reap". There was no disrespect or offensiveness there but acknowledgement of how karma works.

Fyi, many people here should be the least of all people to complain about offensive posts. I have been at the receiving end of many many personal offensive posts. But I've never bothered nor I have ever clicked the report button to grumble at the mods even though I was handed multiple warnings. Again, as I believe, "as you sow, so shall you reap..."

But we don't live in an Utopian world. There is no black or white karma in real world, it's grayish.Hence, the apt proverbs go "as you sow, so shall you reap", "taste one own's medicine". The sellers of hate must prepare to get affected by it some day. That's no brainer.

I agree with you on the fact that all these things are shown in TV and movies and it does give people ideas but this was there in the society before also.

Somewhere filmmakers and tellymakers take a page out of daily life only and show it in their serials and movies.

To wish for them to taste what they are showing is insane. 😡

P.S. Yes, YHM is no longer as popular as it was last year.

The list is bogus or not i dont know.

And for your information BARC might not be collecting online viewership data but producers and channels are.

Recently colors show Silsila Badalte Rishton ka was pulled off from the TV but was retained for online viewers as it is popular there.

Now if they wouldn't be keeping a track of online viewership how would they know things.

Every medium where they telecast they definitely has some or the other measures to understand how many of them are watching their product.

Don't be silly. Voot of course will tell the viewership of shows on its own platform to the content producers. But to make a list across different platforms, one needs to have access to the database of all these platforms which is not possible at the moment. Hotstar and other such OTT platforms don't share their numbers with outsiders.

Thank you Mam!! You have put down some valid points in your defense...To be honest, there is no formal institution like BARC for online viewership so TRPs from digital platforms have to be taken with a pinch of salt... However, it doesn't mean they are baseless or distorted completely, they hover around the expected values..

Furthermore, as you have pointed out producers and statisticians might depend on OTT platforms to get the raw number of online viewers. However, OTT is not the only source which generates online TRPs... Content gets pirated onto innumerable websites which for sure doesn't have a mechanism of its viewers... All they have to do is to go by estimates.. Furthermore in countries like US, Canada where Indian OTT providers charge a fortune for their subscription, the pendulum shifts back to the live streaming websites. Hence the integrity of data is jeopardized...

I second your argument and to bolster it , another important consideration is the time slot.. As far as TV viewership is concerned, every show has a dedicated air time along with a clear schedule of repeat telecast which makes the trp calculation formidable...Alas, there is nothing called as time slot on digital platforms, it all rests with the viewer and practically it isn't feasible to be on the lookout for such a deluge of viewers at a particular time for a given soap... Moreover, the vacillations in online viewership for a particular day will be neither constant nor consistent because some people might binge watch all the episodes on a Sunday in contrast to a TV viewer...In this case the trp would drastically fall on Monday and it would hit the crest on Sunday but there are also many what if scenarios..

Taking all these deliberations into account, statisticians usually go for algorithms which generally follow the principle of regression to mean, which is basically trying to find a mean value for every day and making some adjustments to the raw data..

The end result though isn't a random number but is affected by n number of factors making it more vulnerable for meaningful interpretation ...

Sorry for barging in but I was enamored by your observations as they were sound and plausible and I wanted to add some more insights to it.. Thank you!!
