Sudha Chandran's introduction of Bhalla family 🤣 it felt like the creatives were trolling their own show!! Much like how Bala once called Bhalla house as shaadi wala ghar.

But Sudha got the count wrong with Ishita's jail convictions. Chadda murder charge bhool gayi.

Come to think of it, nobody would ideally go for an alliance with the Bhalla family. Ishita has two murders under her belt. Ruhi herself underwent a short jail term. My God the kaand list is too big for me to start counting! They really are the most atrangi family in town.

From past 10 days, I have started watching a new serial , Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka of EK which comes in Colors channel and I must say I got hooked by the character , Mauli - the wife, the real victim of this extra marital affair.

She is an independent woman and after she got to know about her husband's affair with her best friend, she did not scream, did OTT acting by dragging her bestie, etc - nothing of that sort.

As an independent women she asked the right questions to her husband and best friend and that too within the confines of her bedroom. She did not juggle even once and straight away went ahead with the divorce proceedings.

This is how extra marital affairs are dealt with in real life , and Sandeep Siikcand should watch and understand where did he go wrong in Aaliyah - Rossini's track and why did it receive so muck of slack from the audience.

Anyways , I dunno what is the TRP of that show but I must say even this serial is quite urban and sensible for now..

Ek definitely has that knack of creating good stories if she wants to but then she slowly wanders away in the quest away of running a show for long term and showing female lead as SuperWoman.

EK unfortunately is trying to compete with bollywood where Men are shown as Superman and so she has made women in telly industry as Superwomen but the problem is a movie is for 3 hours but a show is for many years and so equal importance needs to be devoted to both the genders working in the show otherwise it gets very unbelievable.

Completely agree with you. It's not just with EK shows ; practically majority of the shows deviate from the main concept after a while & become OTT.

Frankly, I love the concept of mini series. Even if a story is complicated, sooner or later every story reaches its' saturation point. But unfortunately makers keep stretching like rubber & the originality is lost.

I had stopped watching ITV & started watching again when YHM came on air. Ever since then, the couple of shows I have watched on TV or on YouTube, I must say there have been many shows which came up with interesting & bold concepts. But once their main story had been told, they entered the typical saas-bahu zone & made a complete mockery of their own creation.

In fact she has only given those reasons which if investigated Bhalla would come out looking clean, if she would have given the actual reasons, Bhalla family would come out looking very bad.

Here are the Right reasons :

- Ruhi served jail term.

- She had relations with an older man who had a daughter, in fact went against her own family and nearly married him.

- Got so scorned by father did not agree for marriage that she became a competitor of her ill father's business and ruined it.

- Ruhi did not even take care of her ill father when her mother was not around.

- Was dead drunk and created ruckus in the launch event when her brother took away her credit.

- Ishita served jail term for killing the lawyer and received capital punishment (case which never got cleared)

- Left her day old child and went abroad.

- Stayed with her Best friend cum Samdhi , Mani for 7 long years.

- Supported extra marital affair and fought for the mistress's rights.

- Raman drinks a lot and then creates ruckus.

- Supported extramarital affair of son and brought his grandson home although he has gone through the pain himself.

- Decided to get married to his sister in law although his brother was alive and not yet divorced completely from her.

- Stayed with his first wife, Shagun for 7 long years and then left her at the altar of the marriage.

- Shagun , Ruhi's real mother had extra marital affair and left her 6 month old child. She had several more affairs at different intervals.

- IshRa and ShagMani exchanged their live in partners after 7 years leap

- Simmi, Ruhi's aunt and Param, Ruhi's uncle are certified criminals and has done all possible crimes stated on Indian Law.

- Adi, Ruhi's late brother has served juvenile term for getting into an accident.

- Adi, was involved in illegal recruitment business and had got his father's name in it.

- Adi, had an extra marital affair and even hit his wife.

- Adi , even tried throwing acid on a girls face when she denied him.

- Mani - Ruhi's step father helped a convict to flee from jail ans then helped her in doing crimes and then flee.

- Her grandparents had thrown their daughter in law out of the house.

- They did not reveal the true identities of their grandchildren to their own son.

- They bought the illegitimate child with pomp and show and we're ready to get their son married to their younger sons wife without an ounce of thought for their son.

- Romi, actually is the most sane one. All his crimes are of growing up age and he also got huge punishments for those crimes.

- Stole exam papers and got Bala removed from his job - Romi was debarred from all college and is a college dropout

- Romi, made Mihikas MMS - he was beaten black and blue and later on he helped Mihika a lot and then married her.

- Romi, stole from office - he was beaten black and blue and was boycotted from the family.

- Romi, left Sarika after impregnating her - he lost his ability to give sperms and then Sarika cheated him very badly.

Other than the above mistakes , Romi has never done any mistakes. He left his home and although he became partners with Ashok and bribed people to get contracts , they were not wrong as it was all out in open and everybody did that.
