TV was entertainment until social media came into our lives, now it is everything but entertainment. Look at our parents...they turn on the tv right from 7 pm till the time they sleep...they watch something until they like it, when it gets boring, they simply change the channel...n there it ends for them. Due to this excessive access to the life of actors, be it personal or professional, people have generated more than necessary interest in them n that has caused these fandom issues. There have been iconic shows n pairs even in the past, but no such issues happened back then...n now people behave as if the show is running all because of them, in their so called selfless love for the actors and the show, behave as if trp is their responsibility n take any measures to promote their show n for that, demean the others. Loving something is good, but just not being able to see anything good beyond that is weird.

Like u say, if people are not able to watch anything more than 1 show, good, u don't get any authority to comment on the other...but still it is done.

There might be many people like me, who like more than 1 show or actors. N in these forums or other social media, their other favourites are bashed. Isn't it bad? U can participate in one favourite of urs only at the cost of hearing the badmouthing of the other favourite of urs...I don't support this. Say good things about ur favourite n ignore the one that u don't like.

PS I m saying this only for two different shows, not the two different characters of the same show. Because the forum isn't meant to discuss good n bad about two shows, but we can surely discuss two characters. Pata chala kal main Ishita k against kuch bol du aur yeh mujhipe bhari padd jaaye cuz I certainly don't like her most of the things these days n I can't control mentioning that like I can control for other characters. Roshni is out of question since nobody likes her n nobody will question me for talking against her.😆

Things were certainly more easier and better when social media was not involved!
Sometimes these fandoms turn everything so sordid! N no I am not talking about YHM fandom, we are among the better behaved fandoms! But some of these so called fans have no class, they abuse other fans and also actors as if they have some authority over them! Loving your favorite actor is good but no one has given you the right to abuse or misbehave with other actors and their fans!! As it is, I do not understand the celebrity worship in our country where u can't even hear anything against your favorite, no matter how true it is!

I can totally feel u. Every ITV show is good only in its initial stage. N having watched DivAn acting, it gets difficult to really like else's acting. But what I believe is there are some which are not so bad that we can't even watch them. There are many good actors, if not the best. N these days, for every fandom, their favourites are so good that its like those are the only two in the whole world who can act, their favourite show is the best oscar winning thing existing in the world. Well, I can't force anyone to like somebody or some show, but I feel we should watch every show as standalone, without thinking about the other shows at all...there are so many good things.

If I go back to the discussions about yhm when it was in its 1st year, I find the complaints since then. People had problem with Raman during amma accident track, with Ishita obsessing over her friendship with Mani, with Shagun staying at Bhallas with Adi's excuse, with boring Subbu track. Trust me, it is now, when we are watching these even bad days of yhm, we say it was great in its initial days. It had its flaws, but still it was beautiful, because we didn't give up on it the moment we found its first flaw.

If u want me to name a few, I liked Naamkarann for the strong lead characters it had. I like bepannaah for its concept...the way they discussed EMA, yes they messed up a bit with Zoya's dialogues, but the way they are showing the after effects of an EMA without making it dirty as yet and focusing on human emotions that look real, its really commendable. I like the acting of leads of both these shows, they are really good even if not as good as DivAn. Off-screen if u say, I haven't loved anybody as much as I love Aditi n Zain, totally genuine sweethearts they are. There's this new Ekta show on Sony now, Dil hi toh hai...I like the family n bond between the leads in it as of now. For that matter, I even liked IB in its initial stage when it was really about the brothers. (Well, I have lotsa free time these days to watch so many things😆)

So...this was my whole point. People get offended even with the word blind now, but if we watch any show with open eyes n mind, we can like it. N if we don't, we should strictly ignore commenting on that no matter what, because that could be the favourite of somebody else for any reason. If we don't like others commenting on our favourites, we should restrict commenting on theirs, even the smallest of bad. Say as much good as u want, but no bad things. At least someone has to stop this, or else the commenting n reacting would go on!

Anyways..😊

Every Thursday gives me a bad taste due to these trps n the fan-wars that follow🥱
