However, what's coming next is something that is extremely unexpected and hilarious. The Bhalla house will see the entry of a new character, 'Gulabo' a teacher. Inspired from none other than the iconic role of actor, Kamal Hassan in Chachi 420, Gulabo will bring some light hearted moments to the intense vibe of the show.
And coming to the million dollar question, WHO is Gulabo?
Gulabo is none other than Raman Bhalla.
Yes, actor Karan Patel has been assigned to play the role of Gulabo. And for a few upcoming episodes, Karan will be seen playing the character of Gulabo in an ode to entertain the audience,
When contacted Karan Patel he told us, " I am excited and nervous both at the same time. I am sure No OTHER actor has got this opportunity to play such a character before. Of course, people have played something similar, but none with Prosthetics. So, I thank Ekta for giving me this wonderful opportunity and I just hope people love Gulabo the way they love Raman. After the late Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire and Kamal Hassan in Chachi 420 its Karan Patel in Yeh Hai Mohbbatein...LoL!"
In fact, actor Anurag Sharma who plays Param in the show was to play Gulabo's part, but changes were made last minute and Karan stepped in.
