Sohail is nidhi's brother.

Raman loved Shagun and hence Raman - Nidhi alliance did not happen.

This lead to Nidhi's father committing suicide.

Hence Sohaiel wants to take revenge.

if ruhi goes to jail than ishra will be separated that's why he wanted to put ruhi behind bars
