CHAPTER 4 8.00am, Akash ganga society Raman woke up extra early that morning as he had to get Ruhi for her first day in the new school. From Mihir,he came to know that Adi studies in the same school He hoped that Ruhi and Adi would be able to share the same kind of rapport and love that exist between him and his siblings. 1.00pm,BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL . Ruhi was searching for her Adi bhaiya throughout the lunch break, but was unsuccessful. She managed to catch the information that her brother and she shares the same school from Papa and chachu's conversation during breakfast.Adi bhaiya might be in 6th or.. "Aaah" Ruhi discovered that she had a nasty fall and was lying face down on the ground. A boy helped her to her feet.Her knees were bleeding badly.While taking her to the emergency room, the boy asked her reasons to visit the upper primary section, that too alone She managed to cite the reason between her sobs and hiccups. 1.45pm Aditya was aware of the existence of his little sister,but this was not the circumstance in which he imagined their first meeting. He never expected Ruhi to come in search of him,he did not expect Ruhi to have any desire in meeting him.Hence he was shocked when his friend Varun told him that a litlle girl called Ruhi Bhalla had come in search of him and that she got injured. Aditya walked with heavy steps to the emergency room. Ruhi had beautiful doe shaped eyes, full of innocence... similar to momma. Her face was teary and she looked absolutely scared. Just the her eyes fell on him. "ADI BHAIYA... you came" Ruhi happiness in seeing him momentarily masked her pain and discomfort. Adi's face broke into a wide smile. Atleast one bhalla genuinely loved him. Aditya Bhalla fell in love Ruhi Bhalla right at that moment. 4.30pm Adi was doubtful about taking Ruhi to his home . Mr.Bhalla was getting really late and he did not know about Ruhi's injury,although light...Ruhi requested her class teacher to not inform Mr.Bhalla saying that he will be really worried. The teacher left only when Adi promised her that he would stay with Ruhi and will safely leave her with Mr.Bhalla. When Ruhi could no longer control her hunger ,Adi messaged Mihir that Ruhi will be with him and took her home.Adi was amazed at Ruhi's willingness in comimg with him.The afternoon he spent with her was nothing less than heaven, he also wished to spend more time with Ruhi. 4.45pm,Peace Residential Complex The brother sister duo were welcomed by the happy growls of Muthuswami,their 3 month old golden Labrador. Ruhi befriended Muthu with so much ease that Adi suspected whether his sister was an Animal Whisperer.Now time to make something yummy fror his little sister. 5.15 pm Ishitha had a tiring day at work. The door to her flat was slightly open. Adi was so careless!She entered into her and her nostrils started burning. WHAT IS THAT GOD AWFUL SMELL!Oh!Her poor,poor kitchen..Adi was again playing chef.God.Ishitha felt like strangling Aditya with her bare hands. Adi was entirely covered in batter and sambhar.Yellow stains adorned her kitchen walls.Smoke was emitting from the half burnt dosa that her son was trying to cook.Adi looked at her as if she was Dracula. Well she sure felt like one. "Momma". Ishitha was momentarily distracted by the sweet voice of an equally dirty looking little girl.She managed to recognise Ruhi Bhalla even in that sorry state. 6.15pm Raman was at his ex -wife's doorstep. Mihir informed him Adi's message as soon he got it.But he took his time in coming to pick up his daughter.He was really happy that Adi willingly took Ruhi to his house,maybe bis anger is directed only towards him.What worried him a little was Ishitha's reaction on meeting Ruhi. The second meeting with his son was not that bad.Aditya welcomed him with politeness if not warmth. He appeared busy with something and on further enquiry he found out that he was drying Ruhi'uniform. Taking note of his curious glance,his son began to explain witut stopping his work... "I tried to make dosa for Ruhi,it did not come out as I expected.Then we ended up having a food fight and the kitchens was in a state of devastation by the time mama came back.She forgot to scream when she saw Ruhi's injury.She quickly prepared some hot chocolate for us and made sure we finished it.She started screaming at me and made me clean the kitchen,while she tended to Ruhi's wounds,then she took pity on me and helped me with it.I became fresh while she washed Ruhi's uniform. Right now she is washing Ruhi's hair as it was coated with sambar." Raman burst out laughing. The whole scenario was so funny.But the picture of Ishitha washing his daughter's hair filled his heart with unexpected warmth. Just then he heard loud giggles from a bedroom.His daughter's laughter he had heard rarely, Ishitha's never in two years of marriage...
