As the morning rays fell on ishita's face peeping in from the curtains, she woke up from her slumber. She had a better sleep after days and thought maybe change of place actually did good for her. As she sat up on the bed rubbing her eyes, she saw raman entering the room showered and ready in white jeans and shirt wid his hair slightly wet and holding a tray of morning tea in his hands. He kept the tray on the side table and moved to the window and drew the curtains apart welcoming in sunlight as well as fresh air. He turned around and looked at her wid his killer smile as he wished her-" good morning ishita."

She felt as if she was in a trance and snapped herself out of it as she saw him walking towards her wid tray. She slowly said-"good morning raman...aap itni jaldi uth gaye?"

He came and sat in front of her on the bed and replied-"haan I woke up early as I had to make this for u na.." he said bringing the tray in between. She just asked-" yeh kya hai?"

Raman gave a goofy smile and said-" dikh nahi raha kya madrasan chai hai."

Ishita said-" haan who toh theek hai par aapne kyun banayi...mujhe utha dete."

Raman-" kyun chai kya sirf tum hi bana sakti ho mere liye? Aaj maine socha kuch different karte hain...so I made bed tea for u...waise tum toh coffee peeti ho na? but abhi yeh chai pee lo pehle phir baad mein breakfast ke saath coffee le lena."

Ishita was surprised and just asked-" raman aap..."

She cud not complete as he said-" peeyo na pee ke batao kaisi hai? I bet tujhse better hogi."

She slowly picked up the cup and started sipping the tea. Her hair had loosened and messed up due to night's sleep and her eyes were a little groggy still and adding to that a bemused expression on her face made her a treat for the eyes. He just kept looking at her and was enchanted by her cute and simple beauty. He started wondering how it wud feel if he wud kiss that face, those cheeks and drown into those eyes. He broke out of his dream as he saw ishita fiddling wid her cup trying to say something.

She said hesitantly-" raman maine yeh keh rahi thi ki aaj agar hum yahin resort mein rahein..aur kal se bahar jaayein toh chalega kya? I wanted to rest a bit more...I mean main..."

He stopped her as he saw her struggling wid words. He knew she was saying so becoz last night he had mentioned abt going out and he cud understand that how difficult it wud be for her to step out and face strange people like that. He wanted her to be comfortable at all costs and so he calmly took her hand into his and assured her-" ishita tumhe Mujhe samjhaane ki zaroorat nahi hai...tum jab chahogi na hum tab bahar jaaynege uss se pehle nahi...tell me the day u get comfortable in going out till then we will wait."

His eyes assured her that he was keeping her at the top of everything and she felt good feeling that. She just said-"thank u raman...aap Mujhe yahan leke aaye , itna kuch kar rahe ho mere liye thanks a lot."

Raman just laughed and said-" arre madrasan rehne de abhi, agar abhi se tu thank u bolna shuru kar degi toh pata nahi kitni baar bolna padega yeh tujhe aane wale dinon mein..so keep this thank u for later and now get ready and come out...we will have breakfast."

Ishita was surprised at this new side of raman and said-"breakfast? Who bhi aap banaoge? Yaa order kiya hai?"

Raman chuckled and said-" arre nahi maate order nahi kiya...maine banaya hai and u will love it pakka promise...ab aa jaldi."

Ishita-"par kyun raman...main bana leti na aap yahan relax karne aaye ho and u are doing all this?"

He cut off her ramblings and said-" haan relax karne aaye the but sirf main nahi ...tum bhi and iss trip par jo main chaahonga jaise chaahoonga waise hi hoga samjhi madam?"

She gave up as she knew there was no use fighting him and said-" ok boss."

He was happy to see her smile and said-" ab chalo lazy bum jaldi ready hokar neeche aao."

She said-"haan bass aati hoon aap chaliye."

He went down to make breakfast while she took her clothes and went to the washroom.

As she came down in her usual saaree , she saw raman working like a pro in the kitchen. He then came out and layed out the table and was still having his apron on when he saw her and said-" oh ishita tum aa gayi, come on sit breakfast kar lo , I am sure madrasan u will love it." Her served her coffee and gobi ke paranthe and she was touched by it as she realized he knew that she liked gobi ke paranthe the most in punjabi food.

She started eating and was so impressed by the food that her hunger increased manifold as she started to relish it wid more enthusiasm. He was happy to see her eating wid a smile but became worried he saw her smile disappearing as if she remembered something suddenly. He knew he had to change her mood so he asked-" achcha laga nashta ishita?"

She said-" hmm bohot achcha hai raman...I did not knew ki u cook soo well."

Raman-"thanks madam par tum ab kis soch mein kho gayi yaar?"

Ishita-" nahi kuch nahi raman...bas aise hi."

Raman-"oh hello aise waise kuch nahi tumne Mujhe yahan par toh bitha liya poore din ke liye ab batao toh sahi karna kya hai?"

Ishita was a bit embarrassed as she felt she had spoiled his holiday too she said-" actually raman mera koi plan nahi tha...i am really sorry aap chaho toh ghoom aao na bahar...I will be fine here really."

Raman looked at her and said-" yeh holiday hum dono ka hai ishita and and I am not going anywhere leaving u alone aur tumhare paas plan nahi hai toh kya hua mere paas toh hai na."

She was confused and as she looked at him , she saw him coming towards him and he then kneeled in front of her and taking her hands in his started singing-

Tum ho saath mere , paas mere ho tum yun

Jitna mehsoos karun tumko

Utna hi paa bhi loon.

She stared into his eyes as his hand wiped the food that stuck at the corner of her mouth and then tucked in a lock of hair which had fallen on her face. He made her stand up as they walked towards the hall where there were arrangements for watching a movie and as they settled down, soon she found herself shifting almost into his arms as he sang

Tum ho mere liye mere liye ho tum yun

Jaise main hoon ehsaas tera

Paas main tere hoon.

They passed the day watching movie, playing some board games and then chatted wid ruhi in the evening. At night they cooked dinner together and had it in th balcony on a swing and then had coffee made by her and as he found her getting more comfortable, he had content smile on his face as he started singing

Kahin se kahin ko bhi

Aao bewajah chalein

Pooche bina kisi se hum milein

Bandishein naa rahi

Koi baaki tum ho...

They slept peacefully at night but when early in the morning raman came wid tea for her and found her almost in tears , shivering, he knew she had had a nightmare again and he dashed to her side and took her in a bone crushing hug as if protecting her from the entire world. She too found solace in his arms and started calming down and as he lifted her face and made her look into his eyes singing

Kiss tarah cheenega

Mujhse yeh jahaan tumhe

Tum hi hun main

Kya fikar ab humein

Bandishein naa rahi

Koi baaki tum ho...

Tum ho paas mere , saath mere ho tum yun

Jaise main hun ehsaas tera saath main tere hoon

She smiled and said-" ab main theek hun raman...thank u."

He said-" u r welcome mrs bhalla par meri baat maan ni padegi tumhe ."

Ishita-" bolo?"

Raman-" yeh dress rakha hai tumhare liye, isse pehno aaj and if u like it toh aise aur bhi hain...ab se jab tak hum iss holiday par hain wohi pehen naa and if u dnt like it , then wear what u are comfortable in, I will be ok wid it, so no stress samjhi?"

Ishita was grateful for a partner like him and said-" ok."

As he went down to prepare for breakfast, she got up and saw the dress and was pleasantly surprised. It was an elegant and simple white churidaar and anaarkali and she was ecstatic at his choice. She picked it up and went to the washroom to get ready. When raman saw her in that dress wid no makeup, she looked an angel descending from heaven and he just looked at her into her eyes and said-" u look beautiful ishita...ab se tum who kapde pehen na jo maine laya hoon, samjhi?"

She just blushed and meekly said-" thanks raman...I will."

2 more days passed well wid almost same routine but much change in ishita. Raman's efforts were showing good results as she was much better and settling down well wid him. She had started smiling and talking and even called him-"raavan kumar" few times.

It was in afternoon on one day when she was talking to vandu while raman had dozed off infront of the tv that she finally told vandu what all had happened since they had come to Ooty.

Vandu was happy too her for ishu and being the smart one told ishita-" ishu u know what u are damn lucky, aise pati, aise partner har ladki ko nahi milte ishu...jo shaadi ek deal thi uske maayne ab badal gaye hain ishu warna tu hi soch raman bhalla- the workaholic, rude and no-nonsense man , cud he have left his whole family and daughter behind for anyone? Who apne kaam, business, parivaar ,apni poori duniya peeche chod gaya hai ishu sirf tere liye...uski biwi ke liye kyunki uski biwi ko uski zaroorat thi. Kya raman kabhi aise kar sakta tha? nahi ishu...bikul nahi. Toh now its time ki u too take a step forward towards him...sab bhool jaa jo hua and let urself free from all shackles ishu...khul kar mehsoos kar raman ke efforts, care aur uske pyaar ko and ur heart will take u where it wants to go, samjhi?"

Ishita had tears in her eyes hearing her akka as she knew vandu was bang on and at that moment she decided to take slow but steady steps towards raman. Next day morning at breakfast ishu asked raman-" raman aap ghoomne ki baat kar rahe the na ooty so I wanted to know ki kya kuch itna zyada sundar hai wakai mein...I mean bohot beautiful dekhne layak?"

Raman knew she was now hinting that she was leaving the incident behind and he smiled inside thanking god. He knew taking her to crowded places wud not be such a good idea so he replied-" khoobsurti ka kya hai ishita,who toh dekhne wale ki aankhon mein hoti hai...hum jahan dekhein agar khoobsurat nazar se dekhein toh sab sundar hota hai...samjhi?"

As he saw her looking into his eyes, he did the same until he clarified-" suno we dnt really need to go out of the resort ishita...I mean yahan aas paas withing the resort grounds bohot se aise points hain jahan se view is beautiful...also subah yahan birds and all bhi dikhte hain, its gorgeous really...toh we can start exploring our own resort first and then move out for shopping, what say?"

Ishita knew why he was saying that she cud not understand how cud she be so damn lucky to have a husband like raman. She smiled and said-" sure...I dnt mind."
