But remember? When ishita gives lecture to Raman about first love mentioning subbu, Raman was clearly irritated. Next day in office, Raman thinks why should I bother if she's not happy, but still speaks to her about the issue.

I think that was more from a hurt husband's perspective. For example, during accident track, when Ishita saw Raman carrying Shagun in his arms out of the hotel, she was very hurt, because it insulted her dignity as his wife. Similarly, here, on listening to Ishita talking about Subbu, Raman's worth as husband was questioned as he felt she isn't satisfied or happy with him. In both the cases, it was their status quo as per the relationship they shared, and not love as such 😳
